This cozy little dive bar was great. The food was good the service was great and the night we went they had karaoke which we had fun doing too. If you're staying in or around Christmas Mountain Village and you're looking for a close spot to hang out at this is the spot!

The 3 items that we ordered were not very good. We paid over $60.00 for 2 meals & 1 apatizer. The waiter wasn't very pleasant. We will not go to the Sand Trap Bar & Grill again.

I had a killer black & bleu burger last. This tavern was my kind of place.

We always find a local place to hang out when we are traveling. The Sand Trap was it. The location was within walking distance of our resort and it was chill and low key. The food was great and all very reasonably priced. But the best part was the service. Ang and Michael were awesome. They were warm and friendly with just a little spice. We wound up going 5 out of 7 evenings just to hang out. They were closed the other two or it would have been 7 out of 7. If we ever get back to the Dells we will be back.

We are staying at Christmas Mountain and decided to try this place because it is close. We talked to quite a few locals, and they told us fish fries on Fridays are the Wisconsin thing to do. The Sand Trap did not disappoint. The fish was juicy and flaky, the breading was perfect, and the baked potato was hot and delicious. Our server was great, friendly, and efficient. They do not have draft beer but a good selection of domestic cans. The inside is your typical sports bar atmosphere. A very good meal for a very good price.

I’m Rey impressed with the quality of food and the waitress who was run ragged as only server. But was disappointed that I walked away feeling taken advantage of by the situation. It’s a husband and wife team and since we had a table of 7 automatic 20% tip I am happy to pay. Issue is husband cook some how doesn’t like large groups so smalls groups who come in after your order is even taken are served first very convenient. She gave us a 10% discount but two plus hours waiting doesn’t quite seem right. I hope management adds staff soon as a large part of the service problem.

We go to the Dells often and frequently stay at Christmas Mountain. The bar on property closes quite early, so we usually find ourselves at the Sand Trap, which is very close! The staff is always friendly and the pizza is actually quite good!

Having been there midday, when a foursome of golfers used foul language, and at late night, when locals overdrink and slur their obscenities, a visit to this tiny place with its few tables and small bar made our visit there an unpleasant experience. Although it’s conveniently located near Christmas Mountain Village Resort and Golf Course, go elsewhere.

This place was amazing! We were out of town and didn’t want a chain restaurant. Beer was cold, and service was outstanding! Our waitress was Angie and she was outstanding! We came on a Monday evening and it was perfect! It had some games to play to keep everyone occupied. (Darts, arcade, bear claw). It was only 8 minutes from our Condo, well worth where ever you’re coming from. The food came out HOT and fast. I’ll probably eat here again before going home !!!

Wonderful food and service!
Went to the dells to visit one of the great supper clubs, due to a time constraint was not able to get in. Found this place via a google search, saw great reviews and thought why not? We talked in around 5pm on a Saturday, not to many people inside which was fine, was told it gets busier as the night goes on. Sat outside on their back patio area. Our server Karen was riot! Very friendly and hospitable! We got cheese curds as an app. I got the Pattie melt and my date the Mountain Burger. Both were unbelievable burgers! Best Pattie melt I have ever had! We will be going back when in the area! It wasn’t where we saw our night going but we are very thankful we took a shot! Seems like a great place to be even if it’s busy or slow as it was when we were there! It’s away from all the hustle and bustle of the dells in the summer! Great little spot to grab something to eat and enjoy the country side! Will be making it a point to go back again soon!
