We have been here twice for the Friday night buffet. Great waitresses , delicious food. And we stopped once for breakfast and it so good. Definitely recommend anyone to I there.

I Miss this! Good, home cooked food. The Prime Rib buffet was Amazing! Loaded with options, and the All-you-can-eat prime rib melts in your mouth! We miss these types of restaurants that are becoming rare! Everything made in-house! Absolutely delicious! We will be telling & recommending Chapparal Restaurant to our guests & customers!

Super awesome workers here- we forgot a few items and they let us borrow some that they had in stock which was sooo helpful, brought wood to us, it was almost like having guest services since they patrolled our area often. We stayed in a 150s lot for tent camping and it was a short walk to the beach and bathrooms/showers, but worth it! We kayaked, swam, cooked out, had a fire… the usual… didn’t even think about extra events even jf they had some (I saw a comment about not enough events).
The pond was nice, murky in some areas but to be expected and the rest was clean. Water area/pond was busy during the day but their inflatables and water activities were open until 8pm so we had plenty of “quiet time” and room to explore! Bathrooms were nice and large, a bit of sand never hurt anybody! The life jackets were worn and kind of smelly, but they were free! Bring your own if you’re worried about that!
Also to add- it would be great if there were rope ladders or something to help the younger kiddos back on the inflatables if they get stuck/fall in… it would be nice to have a bit more safety features for the kiddos/families that arent super familiar with it.
All in all. We will definitely be back, thank you Chapparal staff!!

First visit to Chapparal and would highly recommend.
Pros- Big Sites, super clean, large bathrooms, well groomed campsite and campground, the most dog friendly campground we’ve ever been too (dogs could even go on the beach and swim with their families. Lots of hiking and adorable small towns nearby with charm and character. The kids enjoyed the inflatables. Super friendly staff and my husband based booking on how nice the lady sounded when he called. All of camping neighbors were so nice and friendly. The beach had lots of shade pavilions and huge flat areas to play volleyball and run around. The kids enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding.
Cons- Not a ton of planned events. Our kids would have preferred a few kid/teen activities, inflatables needed a bit more air and new grips to get up on them. Without the grips it’s very difficult to pull yourself up. The pond had a murky bottom, but wasn’t a huge issue for us but stepping on some sharp clams cut our feet. We would just bring are shoes next time. We would love to see an online booking option in the future.

This place is scary. It smells like old oil and Old unkept restaurant. They literally had only one waitress. The food was dry and flavorless except the pizza, and we will not be going back. The smell made us want to take a shower after. This was my second terrible experience here, I wanted to give it second chance, no way will there be a third time.
The servers here where so nice and helpful but the food was horrible. I ate here last week and I can't get how bad everything tasted. The prime rib was both dry and burned. The chickens breading tasted weird. The food over all was just not good.

They don't seem to keep help because the three times I've been there there's always new people. The buffet this Sunday being Memorial Day actually, was terrible because they never replenished it until a half hour before they were ready to close. And that was only the biscuits but there was no gravy the corned beef hash was down the eggs were dried out and stuck to the pan everywhere nothing to eat cold. It's just very mismanaged. Straight three I'm out...
