Where do I begin? Our first visit was in the evening and I enjoyed the double cheese burger which I believe is the Mountain Papa. It was cooked to perfection and came with a substantial serving of fries. My wife and I came back for breakfast and it included scrambled eggs, bacon, toast or a tasty biscuit and fried potatoes. It was quite tasty and like the night before, service was stellar, friendly and enjoyable. We made a later afternoon visit for ice cream. The lunch and dinner menus are extensive and included one of my favorites, hamburger steak, and locals rave about the fried chicken. It's your place for dependable, tasty food and wonderful service.

We have eaten breakfast here 2 days in a row!!! Great food, great service, great atmosphere and great prices. We decided this place was so good for breakfast that we had lunch here before we went home and they hit it out of the park again!!!

You can't go wrong with a diner type restaurant such as this. It's one of several reasons to take a day trip down to Alderson. It's in a convenient location l, right beside the main road, so you can't miss it as you're driving along the Greenbrier River. My favorite option here is the Steak Sandwich with some Fries. The Strak Sandwich has got to be one of the best I've ever from a small town restaurant. It's savory, cheesy, and delicious. I've also had one of the burgers. That was also good eating. If you're ever driving through the town of Alderson, I highly recommend stopping by this place. It's a great experience especially if you're exploring the town.

We don't charge for the ""flies::: bring a fly swatter ....and fly spray....unless there paying 1/2 the bill....I lost 138 calories swatting while eating so it was fun.....it's a workout...enjoy the flies......they may save your life.....

Went to the restaurant this weekend with my family. The service and atmosphere were… ok. The food, was awful. Now, I hate to post this because I love to support local restaurants, but the food quality needs to change, immediately. Starting with the chili, not home made no flavor(really bad), Philly sandwich, god awful, sirloin chop was not good, no flavor and canned mushrooms were placed on top, their mashed potatoes were instant potatoes with no flavor and microwaved, and last but not least the children’s nuggets got my child sick with food poisoning. Until the entire kitchen and chef is completely overhauled STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!

Restaurant still looks exactly the same as always. They truly need to update some things. For one I’m sorry I know it’s a restaurant but you gotta do something about the flies. And I know people are doing things to cut costs everywhere but when you order cheese fries, don’t serve them on a paper plate where you cooked the cheese to the plate!!. You didn’t know whether you were eating cheese or if you’re eating the plate! Absolutely horrible!! The worst I have ever had and I have done a lot of traveling in my life. I have had cheese fries from all over and there just no words to describe how terrible these were. I would’ve been ashamed to serve these to someone! And our server? What server, he just completely forgot about us never did bring us no more napkins. You got one napkin and that is all you’re allowed. I guess they took the napkin containers off the table so you’re not able to just get what you’re needed and also refills on drinks? Anyone? no cause our server just never came back. I’ll never be going back to this place again and all the people that I was with they won’t never be going back either. You lost some great service from all of us today!!!

Me and my son went to eat last night. I had the smothered chicken and salad bar and he got a burger and salad bar. Everything was cooked perfectly and as always the salad bar had plenty of boiled eggs which is my favorite.
