Stuart's Smokehouse & Seafood

This place needs to be deep cleaned top to bottom! Calling this a dive would be rude to dives! Outside area is near useless as tables are covered in bird s#!+ ceiling is covered in cob webs n spider webs! Inside was a slight better but tables hadn't been cleaned seats were sticky. We order hot dogs and pulled pork thinking these were the flagship items and the dogs were awful buns to hard to eat chili was barley seasoned fried burger?? The hushpuppies had a terrible after tatse, the pork was a very small serving and hit with $50 bill for a small bad lunch with 2 domestic beers is insane!!! Save yourself the disappointment n keep driving!

Wait time was about 30 minutes to get waited on and waited over an hour for food even tho the restaurant only had a few people in it. We won't go back.

Was there for two hours and never got our food. Had one waitress working when we got there. Stuart never raised a finger to help her. He will lose it all doing business like that. We finally left. And went somewhere else.

I couldn't rate anything but service and atmosphere. The atmosphere out back is outstanding but the service was lacking. The waitress gave us menus and said she would be back to take our order..... Legend says we are still waiting. We aren't... After 20 long minutes we left.

Amazing little gem of a restaurant. Had an amazing view of the river from our seat. The service was top notch, even offering to help with our kids to make the experience better! The food was second to none! We did the seafood broil with crab, shrimp, potatoes and corn. The crab was cooked to literal perfection as well as the shrimp. Cannot recommend Stuarts enough!!

Food was great! Service was great! Sure the food didn't come out immediately but that's perfectly fine, we just sat at the bar in the meantime & food was out in like 10-20 minutes. We got the smoke & app sampler so we tried a little bit of everything other than seafood & it was all great!

Wonderful local spot to grab some GREAT food! We had shrimp dip and crab legs. Food was good and service was great. We will definitely be back!

So, our wedding anniversary is Sunday, we really want to go based on the facebook ad campaign, just really hope we won't be disappointed, some pretty terrible reviews here. We both love seafood, endless, all you can eat stuff is our fave! She's from New Orleans and I'm a citizen of the world, we know our seafood. Not sure what specials there will be, hoping for the best, even if it's the worst, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Happy to help local-ish businesses.

Maybe we came on a bad day but the restaurant could be fun. It has a large deck overlooking the water, they have live entertainment. Yet, our waitress was very polite and nice but didn't check in often. We ordered our meals and chili cheese fries for an appetizer. After 35 min, we asked about the fries n another drink, she brought the drink but no fries. My husband and I wasn't really in a hurry but we were Hungry, as you are when you go out to eat. After an hr, I went to the waitress and asked what was going on, she said they were shorthanded and she would check. It shouldn't take an hr to get fries, sorry. She came back and said none of our order had even been started. We left and went to subway, right down the road with much better service and we ate like little piggies. We will definitely not be going back.

I ordered ahead of time so I could pick up my food on the way home, but when I got there the place was virtually empty except for the people at the bar and a couple employees behind the bar and I could not get anyone to help me for about 10 minutes. Even though I ordered 45 minutes prior my food still wasn’t ready when I arrived. Then after waiting ANOTHER 15 minutes someone came to advise me they didn’t know I ordered ribs, so they weren’t going to be ready for AT LEAST ANOTHER 20 minutes!!! Communication between employees is vital when you run a restaurant and obviously the employees here do NOT communicate!!! But, the worst part about my experience was getting all the way home only to realize they didn’t even give me the pulled pork portion of my order!!! I immediately called back and was told, “whoops, he forgot to give it to me to give to you”. Instead of apologizing and making it right the employee blamed the cook for the mistake!!! It’s crazy!!! I’ll never again eat here!!! I stupidly chose to get my birthday dinner from a place that has enough terrible reviews to make you reconsider eating there and I didn’t use my brain. Lesson learned!!! I understand everyone makes mistakes, but it wasn’t just one many, it was TOO MANY!!!

Its such a shame because the view is so amazing. Used to come here a lot. The time before last we had such horrible service. Twenty minutes to eat drink order. Thirty minutes to get drinks and food ordered. Another fourty minutes for food. The seafood was not cooked well. Place was filthy!! Sticky unbused tables. We waited over two years to give this place another try and we should of known. Same experience all over again. This time fans not working on the ceilings. Food all over the tables, a Friday night and one girl working everything. It wasn't her fault she was as kind as can be. We stayed because we liked the view and felt bad for her. The food was disgusting. I don't know if I would classify that as a loaded baked potato. Grey bacon and cheese on top. The seafood was overcooked and tasted like something bought in Sam's Club freezer section. " clarified butter" tasted like melted margarine. I watched people never get menus etc and walk out. I see it is for sale. I hope someone buys it and gives it, it's full potential. STAY AWAY!
