Dave & Buster's Barboursville

I only came in for the arcade and can not review the food or dining service. I had a really good time inside, and my thoughts are as follows.

The games are fun to play, but they are very expensive. There is a big variety of themed games that should entertain most visitors. Some games are a bit complicated to try out, which can throw off some patrons. Play times were also very short, considering what I had to pay.

It is very loud in there. When you first leave and go back into the mall, your hearing will need a period of time to readjust. It is very hot inside the arcade. Do expect to see large crowds on weekends. Moving around the arcade floor can be somewhat difficult.

I had a good time here. Unfortunately, with the price structure on food and games, Dave & Busters may only be a "special occasion" place to go to. Check the website for the best deals before you make your trip to Dave & Busters.

Great arcade room though prices are high. Reason for the poor review? The service is terrible in the restaurant portion. Consistently some of the worse service I've ever encountered. I've waited several visits prior to making this review and experienced the same poor service at each visit. Other reviews reflect this same experience, but obviously, nothing is being done to fix it. I've visited on busy days and days where we were one of the few tables seated and service still sucked. Food isn't great either, though chicken nachos are decent. Eat somewhere else then go enjoy the arcade if desired. Or, even better, go enjoy a locally owned arcade like Billy Bob's or Gattitown.

The food takes a really long time took 35 minutes for our flatbreads and 45 minuyes for one plate of winfs . The waitress we had was rude and kept making strange faces at me . She made a grossed out face when I told her that me and my kids were vegetarian so I didn't want pepperoni. She dropped our napkins in the floor and never gave us new ones. She acted very aggravated that I wanted to use the eat and play combo . The games are nice and fun and the prizes seemed to be good. But idk if I'd eat there again.

Attended my 2 nieces birthday party, they turned 10, double digits. Saturday afternoon on a Thanksgiving weekend, yes they were extremely busy as expected. Our party hostess never showed any signs of being busy, she always had a smile on her face. The food was buffet style and was amazingly hot and satisfying. Party room was easily accessible and we had plenty of room for the invited guests.

So far the table service has been sub-par. We've been here two times with a group and two times with just our family of three and have had difficulty getting prompt service. Every visit we've had to flag down staff to take our order, get drink refills, and to finally pay. I'm not saying this happened once over our four visits, I'm saying it happened each of our four visits. The value for the price of food just isn't worth it either.

Went on a monday night with some friends and had a great time. It was our first time going to a dave & busters. The food was a little more pricey than I thought but the wings and cokctails were really good. It wasn't very crowded and there was a big variety of games. We didn't have to wait long for service at all and our waitress was very attentive. I think there were some slight miscommunications between the servers and the kitchen but everything came out correct and in good time. 10/10 would recommend

the place is just like every acades modern dream, lights, flashes, sounds and pretty much everything you want from d&b. the food don't get me wrong was pretty delicious but some of the prices can really leave a hole in your wallet, if your going for a good dining experience id recommend going for some of the deals they have. Like endless wings.

Brought my dad and sister whom are veterans for veterans day, Was seated for 15 or 20 minutes and no server ever acknowledged us but went to multiple tables right beside us that arrived 10 minutes after, never got a drink or order taken, moved to the bar to order but left after 25 or so minutes due to veteran father upset and went to ruby tuesdays where i was seated and had my food within 10 minutes. Need to hire some people, AN ABSOLUTE EMBARRASSMENT THAT I RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO MY DAD FOR VETERANS DAY. Will not be back for dining.

Kailey provided excellent service at the counter. I ordered the Nashville Hot bone in wings that I had in Cleveland. They were delicious. I normally don't dine alone but I didn't feel awkward here. They have every new game Dave & Busters offers. I cannot wait to return with my family to play!

Don't do it!!!! The food was ridiculously priced, below average at best. Unless you have lots of money to waste, stay away.

My experience was similar to other reviews for bar service, huge wait for drinks with staff just mingling around. Ordered a drink at the bar and the employee just stood around talking with coworkers for 10+ minutes. Eventually another employee came over and completed my order after a second attempt. Wasn't a comfortable experience.

Between the noise and difficulty of getting service, I'll just plan to drop in for the games from time to time.
