Grindstone Coffeeology

This is hands down the best quality coffee in Huntington! I love grindstone, staff are always friendly, order is always made accurately, absolutely wonderful place.

This morning we went in for coffee after grabbing our breakfast next door at the Grindstone bakery. It was busy and no seats were available. I got a little nervous since having our stroller packed down and my daughter in it. A man noticed I was searching for a spot for my daughter and I & our two friends. He and his party got up from their seats to give us their spot. My friend later told me that he was the owner! I’ve thought all morning about how kind that was—making sure we had a spot for our stroller and place to enjoy our coffee. Truly 10/10 and absolutely the best way to treat a customer.

Love this coffee shop. Fantastic vibes. The only reason this isn’t five stars is because every time I come here to work or study, the bathroom door is locked before the shop closes. I have left here multiple times having to use the bathroom. The last time I was here the bathroom was locked 45 minutes before closing!

If it’s a safety issue for your baristas, then please put signage so that customers know not to expect to use the bathroom before they leave. Otherwise, I highly recommend keeping restrooms open until all customers leave. It’s just part of customer service and the tips I leave with my drinks. I get baristas want to go home so maybe incentivize them to keep bathrooms open. Thank you.

I was in the area today and in a hurry so I decided to give them another try. I can’t say that they have the greatest coffee or options, for me personally anyway but I was able to find something and the barista did a good job with my request. The biggest motivator for posting today is because I truly appreciated the service and approach that I received from the barista. She was very friendly and attentive to what I asked for. It was definitely the best service I have received from this coffee shop to date.

I've had better drinks. But the person that waited on us was nice and offered suggestions.

I am honestly so confused that this place isn’t busier. We frequent their Huntington location and this one is just as good. Give it a chance, would ya? Their drip coffee is delicious and I love the Turkish delight mocha for something a little different.
