Food was not good, plenty of workers but not good service. Was spoken harshly to when asked for a sandwich to be fixed the right way. Its in the actual mall and just not a good environment to be in. The stand alone restaurant is better

Attending Science Fair today. Today, I placed my Chic-Fil-A on the app for pick up at Mercer Mall. I go to the store and wait. The staff have all that they can handle. And the drink employee is making drinks and can’t real be heard when calling out names. So, I begin to call out names for drinks and food. And handing out the food. Trying to make it light and fun, because we are all waiting a long time for our items. I continue to do this. The employees behind the counter are laughing and people in the mall are smiling (not all but some). Trying to lighten the mood. Later, we are about 35 minutes in to me waiting on my order that was placed at 9:31 am, a man by the name of Brian walks up and fussed at me loudly that I need to be patient and not make a scene and quit acting the way that I am. Saying I’m being rude and a host of things. Told me that they were working on orders and i just needed to be patient. I tried to explain i wasnt doing anything malicious. Actually I was joking around, calling names, and trying to be funny. But never rude and was talking nicely to the employees on the line and just overall trying to defuse some tension. Side note I was having fun until I was pubically fussed at by Brian who hadn’t even been there this whole time and came out and raised his voice to me. So, what do I do when pubically humiliated?! I cry. In the middle of the Chick-Fil-A at Mercer Mall. Multiple women took up for me. Women I don’t even know. Women came up and hugged me that I may never see again. But they showed up because it was wrong. They questioned the staff who did not yell at me and ask who was going to call orders now that I was crying and stopped helping in a situation that was awful. Note to Brian when you fussed and humiliated someone (and a woman) for nothing but trying to help and spread kindness you then made some of the women who had been patient angry. Guess who didn’t call out names? Me! And the store because the staff were too overwhelmed. Brian was made to “apologize” to me. His “apology” was as sensitive and sincere as when a deer apologizes for hitting your car. There was no real accountability or even caring that he walked into a situation and made an assumption that was complete inaccurate with no foundation of it. Still crying in the Chic-Fil-A I told him I just wanted my food that I had been waiting for since 9:30 am and it was now 10:50 am and leave. Already had my drinks forever just wanted the food. Several women were kind and said that I made their wait better and kept it light. And hugged me. Thank you. Side note Brian is not a manager. Size note, food not given until after 11 am. But shout out to Nick, Bailey, and Kimmie. They were sweet and joked around as I was calling names. And thanked me. (Before Brian humiliated me). So, I guess this store doesn’t need my money anymore. Maybe the company needs to teach people not to berate people for being kind. I tried to spread help and kindness. But that was beat out of me today. Maybe the corporate level should also teach not only how to talk to people but maybe not to harass and humiliate women?! A part of me was glad that I held my tongue and didn’t lash back. But another part is sad that as a female I showed other women and young girls that a woman should take how a man talks to her. But for now I will show with my purchase power. I will not support this location in a dying mall that probably needs the business. Maybe others will do them same. I don’t know. But no one (customer or just random person) should ever be treated like this.

Had a talk with one of their shift leaders, she was a young girl with short hair. She was super friendly and help fixed the error with my order. They forgot to put my fry in the bag but it quickly got fixed by their manager. mistakes happen, but it’s nice that a restaurant makes up for them.
