We had a takeout meal and it was ready on time. We got the beef brisket, pulled pork, and a whole chicken which were excellent. Our side dishes of green beans, potato salad, and coleslaw were also delicious. The coleslaw had an interesting twist with a little spice in it. Their cornbread is also really good and a little bit different recipe we enjoyed.

I was here back in july for my birthday and completely forgot to leave a review until they popped up in my timeline so here we go.
I’ve had bbq at some pretty famous bbq places, so my standards are kinda high. I had brisket, pulled pork, and mac n cheese. 3 things a barbecue spot CAN NOT screw up. Well… they did.
The brisket was smoked nicely, had a great bark, but was ice cold and dry as cotton. When brisket dries out, it becomes tough to chew. Not what you want to see. Especially for the price. Homeboy is charging premium prices, i expect premium quality.
The pulled pork was shredded a little more than i’d have liked, i like to see it chunkier and with some inner meat, outer meat, and bark all combined well. I saw no bark whatsoever, and it also was cold.
Thankfully their sauces were ok, because you absolutely have to mask the bad meat with SOMETHING…
Mac and cheese wasn’t from a box, which was nice to see. It was the only warm thing on my tray, but lacked any seasoning. It was cheesy enough, but maybe throw some rub in there to spice it up some.
I would have liked to have seen a more broad menu. Spare ribs, beef ribs, turkey legs, something! But, alas all they had to offer was pulled pork, brisket, or chicken. Maybe they don’t have the smoker capacity yet, and thats understandable. It appears that he was smoking under a tarp anyway, so that would explain the limited menu, but NOT the poorly executed meal.
I didn’t want to make the gift look bad because it was my girlfriend who took me out, so i faked a few yums, and told the (what i’m assuming was) the owner that everything was tasty. He seemed like the type of guy who wouldn’t take negative criticism very well anyway… But to be fair, thats only speculation.
I’d like to give them another shot, and maybe change my perception of them, but im not entirely sure when i’ll be able to make the time, or afford it. All it did was make me miss Dickey’s bbq, which was at the time the only halfway descent bbq in the area.

We're not from here, and we decided to try something that wasn't a chain. We absolutely loved the food. I got the brisket, green beans, and mac n' cheese. Separately, the atmosphere is so homey, and the guys were super respectful and patient with little ol' indecisive me.
Kid-friendliness: They had some tabletop games that we also played with.

If you get to breath the same air as the owner, consider yourself blessed. Small and cozy, peaceful. Food was amazing! Even my grandma who doesn't typically finish her food ate it all up. Would recommend the new York cheesecake, one person staff with rapid service, somehow. So much high quality food, and all handmade by the owner on the grill in the back. Will come back if I can! (Maybe tomorrow morning, as I'm on vacation here.)

Really nice people and inviting atmosphere. Extremely flavorful meats and great sauces to go with an excellent Mac and cheese. Food came quick. 100% worth it!

Service was great! Good BBQ sauces! The pulled chicken was very flavorful. The brisket was pretty good although kinda dry. We didn't care for the potato salad with the half cooked potatoes or the coleslaw they were both lacking flavor. The Mac and cheese was pretty good .The baked beans and the green beans were fantastic! Overall a decent experience but could have been better. I can understand all the hard work it must take to run a BBQ place though the protein portions could have been larger, especially for the price.
The people were nice the food was amazing they had many different sauces to try out and great barbecue everything was great I can’t say enough about this place A++.

Super hospitable, I came in before my surgery and decided on bbq for me and my family’s meal and came out fed and happy. Meals were well priced and Smokey, I haven’t had bbq that good since my uncle made it.
Food is delicious! Customer service was great too. sauces and briskets are amazing. a great place to go too when you’re hungry and craving bbq. Has games if you get bored.
