Great food! Keep forgetting things in my take out order... Who doesn't include marinara with lasagna??
It was all wonderful our Hostess/Waitress Miranda was fantastic! The atmosphere was eclectic and really cool! Very large portions and delicious! Menu has a wide variety and is absolutely huge! American, Italian, Mexican, pizza and more! We will be back! Enjoy!
Ordered Stan’s steak. This was the single toughest piece of meat I’ve ever had. If you’re gonna serve cube steak, advertise as such but you need to really tenderize. The coffee Kit Kat ice was disgusting, too many chucks and the flavor was only heavy chocolate, nothing like coffee. Others in my party mostly enjoyed theirs. Our server was great though. It was a guy, funny.
C.J. is a restaurant on main street in Buchanan with a lot of character and a small flair of Pittsburgh PA. All the food was outstanding. I personally had the Sharpsburg turkey sandwich. It was huge, stuffed with a lot of sliced turkey, loaded with lettuce, tomato, onions and mayo. The only negative was the coleslaw. It was very dry and there was a $4 upcharge not stated on the menu. When ordering the waitress presented as if it came with the meal.
I got the cod-zilla and was amazed at how huge it was, the name is very fitting. 3 good size peices of cod with lettuce tomato and cheese. The fish was not oily or greasy at all, perfectly crispy. The bread was perfectly toasted too, crisp exterior and soft interior. Came with a side of kettle chips and a pickle spear. The only thing I think needs improvement is the seasoning, everything seemed like it could use some salt (which is better than being oversalted, but still somewhat bland). The price is generous given the massive portion, I could easily get 3 smaller sandwiches out of the 1 I ordered and it was under $15. Their boozy milkshakes are good too, a little pricy but cold and perfectly blended not to thick or thin, and not small either.
Service was also very good, she checked in with me probably 3 times during the meal and was very good at explaining menu items. Very little wait time for food to come out once ordered.
Unanticipated unique environment, so much to see which provides opportunities for reminiscing. The food was outstanding and a more attentive server would be hard to find. I will return when I visit WV again! Thanks for the experience, CJ Maggie’s!!
