We went to the park to hike and stopped in the gift shop. The park is beautiful and the lodge is clean. My sister stayed here when we camped and she loved itNearby activities: Hiking trails. The North Bend Rail trail is within the park and if you want to ride the trail this is the perfect place to stay.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant at the park. There is a winery not far and some fast food places and sit down places.

The lodge has recently been renovated and the rooms are really nice. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The restaurant area was nice and there is a nice seating area in the lobby with a large fireplace. They’ve also done an amazing job with their hiking trails. Highly recommend checking both the lodge and park out.

On a long weekend trip to bike ride on the North Bend Rail Trail, I stayed two nights at the North Bend State Park Lodge. The appearance of the lodge, both inside and out, was appealing. Employees were helpful and friendly, with an efficient check-in process.Important to me was that I could bring my ebike into the room instead of leaving it on my bike rack. That meant it could be safe and out of the weather. The room, with one queen sized bed and a sofabed, was spacious and very up to date. All rooms have recently been renovated, with new carpeting, modern bathrooms and large screen TVs.My room faced the woods, so I had a peaceful view and also could see birds up close. Being in the middle of a state park meant that night skies are dark! I could see the stars since there was no light pollutionI ate dinner in the lodge restaurant, which is large and clean with great views of the woods. Dinner specials were delicious at very reasonable prices. I had ham, green beans, and mashed potatoes for $10.95!The servers were friendly and courteous, checking in a few times during the meal.I would definitely stay here agsin.Rooms: The rooms have recently been renovated, with new carpeting, bathrooms, and big screen TVs

We stayed at the lodge from 8/17/23 through 8/20/23. When I booked the room, the deposit was charged to my card. When we checked in on 8/17/23, the balance due was paid at the front desk. After we arrived home, I discovered that an additional $212.00 was charged to my card. When I called to ask what the charge was for, they said it was for smoking in the room. The funny thing is neither one of us smoke. I asked for them to check into it and have the supervisor, Christy, return my call and I still have not received a call back. What a scam they are doing.

We stopped in to spend some time there on our way home from Tygart Lake State Park. They have a 2 queen bed suite there that is incredible. They have a pool and mini golf course that are included with a stay there. They also have a small no wake lake, a small restaurant and even an ice cream shack. If you like ghost stories, they even have a haunted unmarked cemetery hike you can take.

Our group of 12 spent four days last weekend at North Bend State Park. Some of us camped and others got rooms in the lodge. The remodeled lodge rooms are very nice. But they have yet to replace the lower campground bathroom. We camped at Cokeley campground which has a newer bathroom. The swimming pool bath house/rest room is shabby and smelly. The food at the lodge restaurant is cheap but of poor quality. We ate breakfast and dinner there twice. It's a shame things weren't better at North Bend as it is a nice park.

Beautiful room 3 big windows, plenty of room. We had the 2 queen suite. A .microwave in the room would be better. There is one available near lobby.Their new ice machine didn't have the capacity I expect. When I couldn't fill my cup, the staff got sme from elsewhere.Dinner was delicious.

Lodge looks to be in great shape. The rooms are good... and quiet. Front desk was more than helpful. Restaurant on site for each meal time, although the selection was limited.
