We’ve been to JJ a couple dozen times now and it’s always been good food, with a very minor hit-and-miss on service. Now that we’ve moved up here full-time we were hoping to make it a regular thing, but after last week’s visit I don’t think that’s going to happen. In my 50+ years of life I have never waited over two hours for dinner before, but that’s what we did last Thursday. My son drove three hours from Baltimore to meet us there and the four of us waited and waited and waited. The only time we could even get drink refills or another round was when I would go up to the bar and request it. The one time the waitress did ask if I wanted another drink…she never brought it. When our four Surf-n-Turfs did make it to the table, they were hot and cooked right, but completely drenched in soy sauce (way more than usual).

Okay, I get it, a busy night…but two hours for food?! Not even an offer for a free round, not a “let me take 10% off for your long wait”, not an even explanation. Nothing except for a “get out” attitude on a $155 bill. We were not rowdy, loud, or disrespectful or even had a bad attitude. We did let the waitress know it was a less than satisfactory experience for us, which I would hope any service worker would want to hear. I just…I dunno, words are hard to come by here to describe the disappointment.

Love the atmosphere but that was all. Waited 2 hours to be served with no explanations or apologies. When 4 steak dinners arrived they were floating in what tasted like soy sauce so much that you couldn't taste the steak. The 4 of us didn't even finish the steaks. Service was so sad that after 15 minutes of asking for another round of drinks we had to get up from table and go to the bar to get our beers. No refills on non alcoholic drinks were provided. Went in with such high hopes, left completely disappointed.

We waited an hour and 45 minutes after giving my order and still had not received the food. We landed up Walking out. The staff did not seem to be the least bit concerned over the time we waited. They simply said they were busy.

After 45 mins of waiting, we were told 6 tickets ahead of us, at a little over two hours of waiting was told there were still three tickets ahead of us, inconceivably slow service, will never go back.

The surf and turf is my favorite. The steak is by far one of my favorites, and I’ve been to some of the best steakhouses in the country.

Best place we've been to in a really long time! The food here is so good, it reminds me of the local steakhouse restaurants of the 90s. The staff is great, the locals are friendly and the fry batter is fantastic. Plus the house steak was on point with Texas toast dipped into the juices!

The Burgers were Awesome! Can't wait to return to try the steak and sefood

Delicious steaks fixed just the way we like them, loaded baked potatoes were the best. The server was great. She made sure we had everything we needed. Below is a picture of our supper guest. Lol!!

Our absolute favorite place to go for the BEST surf-n-turf meal! The steak & crab cake are to die for. Our waitress is always on top of her game & so kind! 10 stars ⭐️

Visiting family, was taken here for dinner. I love the outside deck, thats whwre we sat. The food was better than i expected. I got a cheeseburger & fries and it wasnt bland at all. My sister got hamburger steak with potatoes. My mom got the fish and my moms cousin got a different kind of cheeseburger than i did. Everyone liked what they got. I would deff come back here.
