I recently visited the River House Café in Capon Bridge, WV, and had an amazing experience! The café offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a menu full of delicious, locally sourced dishes. A standout part of our visit was our server, Jess, who was incredibly attentive and friendly. She truly is an asset to the team, and her excellent service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

This is a gem! Service was outstanding, employees were super friendly, atmosphere was so cute and there was a variety of seating. It seems they always have some things going on for all ages, and most are free. The dandelion chai was great, the lemon cookie was good, and the chicken salad croissant was delicious. If I were a local, this would be my spot!

What a lovely little shop! We had such a fun time shopping at their artesian market sipping on scrumptious iced lattes & scones! After we sat upstairs to cool off coloring on our table we enjoyed the darling atmosphere everyone was so friendly and welcoming filled with local art and music! 💕thanks for making our trip the best!

I've been passing by this place for a couple years now.And I didn't realize what I was missing! What a warm and inclusive environment for children/families! I you have a special needs child and you are nervous about public spaces i would 10/10 recommend this place! plus their mocha lattes are hot chocolate,delicious energy in a cup!!! 😋
Loved the latte and butter nut squash/feta pastry. So good!! My dog ⭐️ Star had a great time running around the yard. I give The River House 4 stars, which I seldom do!

I love this place! Wish it was open 24 hours because it needs to be??? I'm new in town and this place has provided some semblance of a social life for me, however small. I am grateful!! Also the chocolate cake vegan cake thingy is a reason to carry on in this world!
Vegetarian options: Most of the time there is a veggie option and they always have plant milk options for coffee drinks and the chocolate cake is vegan

We visited The River House for the first time a few years back and enjoyed a Japanese folk artist under string lights by the river while sipping wine. We visit several times a year to keep up with the family home built by my fiancé’s grandfather in Capon Bridge. The River House is a must for us anytime we’re in town. The food and coffee is great in my opinion, but that is not what brings us back. The staff and their commitment to the arts, community, and people in the town is overwhelming. The ear to ear smiles that welcome us each time is heartwarming. Thank you to The River House for what you provide to keep our hearts and bellies full!
