My sister, her boyfriend, her daughter, and I all drove over 45 minutes to this Dairy Queen for blizzards — seven in total. Six were supposed to be large, with only one small for my 4-year-old niece. These were for our whole family, including our Mom, her Husband, and my disabled brother with Down syndrome. I even brought a thermal bag because it was a warm day and I wanted to keep everything cold.

The drive-thru speaker was hard to hear, and the young man at the window was soft spoken. When we got to the service window, he quickly handed everything off, my sister then said that the blizzards were supposed to be large. All but one, he said, “You didn’t say large,” and literally shut the window on us. No chance to respond. No receipt. Just seven small blizzards melting in a bag.

So we parked and went inside. The young woman at the front — light brown hair, maybe late teens or early twenties — asked how she could help. My sister politely explained the issue. The girl said they could remake the blizzards, but we’d have to pay again. I replied, “As long as she can get a refund on these,” and before we could say anything else, the employee cut us off and said she’d go get the manager.

Enter the manager: older, full-figured, dark hair pulled back. She looked somewhere in her 50s, maybe early 60s — not elderly, but definitely not someone new to this job. No greeting. No warmth. Just a blunt, “We don’t do refunds.”

One of us asked, “Is there anything we can do to fix this?” She left again. From the kitchen, we could hear shouting, slamming, and what honestly sounded like things being thrown. When she came back, my sister — visibly upset and discouraged — said, “Never mind, it’s okay,” in a defeated tone.

That’s when the manager suddenly said, “I’m going to fix it.” I told her, “If she’s going to fix it, let her.” But Amber (my sister) shook her head and said, “They’re yelling and slamming things in the back. It’s not worth it.”

We turned to leave. And with utmost attitude, the manager snapped, “Alright. Fine.”

That’s how this whole thing ended.

My sister has mild social anxiety. She really stepped outside her comfort zone to advocate for herself. And they made her feel like she was wrong for speaking up — like she was the problem. She wasn’t rude. She wasn’t even mildly unpleasant. She just asked for what we paid for. And instead, she got indifference, snark, and a side of physical aggression behind the counter.

It’s a shame. Because my “small” Oreo Blizzard tasted good. But no dessert is worth watching a staff implode over being held accountable, disrespecting my family in the process.

Can’t do there job missing 1 large fries and no pickles and missing everyone’s orders and they don’t have salt and pepper anymore bring your own messing up on ice cream this place needs to be shut down some employees are to scared to talk and just sit there and wait for someone to ask if that is there’s I can’t with this place never coming back took 20-30 minutes for are food.

Got a blizzard that was half melted. But waited 10 minutes for them to make it.

I went to get like little brothers ice cream cause they ain't feeling good and I was sitting there for like 10-15 minutes and when I accidentally hit my gas pedal cause my foot slipped I got and attitude threw the speaker saying "we didn't forget about you" I wouldn't have minded sitting there waiting but I'm not gonna be treated like that. I work in fast food myself so I know how it feels. That's not a way to treat your customers.

I always forget how bad this location is. Long wait, bad food, poor service, rude staff. Getting ice cream at dairy queen shouldn't be difficult.

Worst place in Clarksburg waited 15 min for chicken strips and when I got them they looked like someone tore into them like an animal

I ordered a Oreo Ice cream cake with blue gel that said "Happy Birthday Jim" and when I received it was awful. The handwriting was sloppy, they used red instead of blue, and the cake was half freezer burnt. I ended up throwing away the cake and just got a Bonnie Bells Cake. This is probably the WORST Dairy Queen in West Virginia

So the lady who waited on us the last time was rude. Her attitude sucked! The older lady that I believe is a manager is nice. She takes care of her customers not like the younger fat chick that waited on us who acted like waiting on us was the end of the world. Not to mention got our order wrong. We only ordered 2 blizzards one large n one medium. Made my fiancé's large what should've been the medium n mine which should've been medium large. Needless to say my fiance was not happy cus instead of getting his normal large he got dooped n got a medium. I couldn't complain but I really didn't want all that ice cream.

We went through the drive thru and it took a lil longer than I would of liked. But after I got around front I seen she was working the front by herself. And their was 1 person in the back. And they stayed pretty steady. The food was great the service ended up being pretty darn good considering the circumstances me and the wife was both satisfied. ( Good Work guys/ girls).

The blizzard I got had very little oreos in it and the chocolate milkshake was to frothy I could only drink ⅗ of it rest was foam
