Stopped in yesterday to try their donuts and cupcakes. I have to say they were the absolute WORST baked goods I’ve ever tasted. The cake in the cupcakes was heavy, hard and dry and the icing was indescribably bad. It had no taste and was made with something that left a film on my lips and tongue. Couldn’t get the awful taste out of my mouth. The donuts were also very heavy. The donut itself was dry and tasteless and it was filled with the same cream that iced the cupcakes. Yuck! I hate to slam a small business, but it was really bad. I threw $12 worth of baked goods in the trash.

I really hate to leave a bad review for a small indi place like this. Especially considering it is one of the only donut places within an hour or so from here. But I tried this place for the first time a couple days ago and I wasn't very impressed.I got a dozen assorted kinds of donuts. Some of the donuts were stale and old tasting. Some were fresh tasting but had a weird flavor. There was zero consistency between any of them. Some were so "crunchy" they fell apart. But the worst were the creams. While the donut part tasted fresh, they loaded so much of the butter cream icing inside and out that it was totally over kill. It was the single most disgusting thing I have ever tried to eat. When you picked up one of those cream donuts, It felt really heavy... Your brain says "Wow. there must be a lot of cream in there"... well there's a lot of it alright. Ugh... it was so gross. Many times when you get a vanilla cream donut there is not enough cream inside.... Well that's not the case here... Worse, the cream was not a "light" butter cream. It was really really heavy. Dense. and left an aftertaste that after one bite, three cups of coffee couldn't get the taste of it out of my mouth. It was so nasty. I can't imagine any one actually wanting to eat one of those.I give them two stars cause the people working in there were so sweet... but the donuts.... ugh...

I was given a jar of Papaya & Pineapple Jamalade marmalade.Tastes as dull as dishwater. Leave the making of marmalade to the professionals, please.

Beware of the filled donuts. They are HUGE. Not that I’m complaining, though; everything’s always moist and delicious.

I ordered 6 dozen donuts from Sweet Nana’s 4 months in advance for my wedding. The lady on the phone took my order, was nice, and assured me that they would be ready 1 day before my wedding. I had my cake baker go pick up the donuts for me as a favor, and when she arrived, they told her they did not make any donuts and refused to make them. They stated they “didn’t have any time” for the order that I put in MONTHS in advance. After my cake baker argued with them for some time, they quickly and sloppily put my order together. See pictures for the highly unprofessional job they did. Please get donuts somewhere else if you want professionalism and quality dessert.

Ordered donuts for a wedding display several days in advance, arrived for pickup 3 hours before wedding and donuts were not ready. Employees stated that they didn’t “have time” and “could not” make our order. This required arguing to get them made, then upon opening the boxes at the wedding the donuts were HORRIBLE. No care taken at all, filling and icing splattered all over the boxes and every donut. Required us to have a decorator buy tubs of icing at Walmart and quickly redo all decorations at the venue. Very, very disappointed and will never be going back. Donut shop in Weston is much better. Would give 0 stars if it was possible.

Hidden gem. Sweet Nana's is an unusual area. But when I read about this highly rated donut shop. Despite visiting after noon I was pleased to find an excellent assortment of donuts. All of the ones I tried we spectacular. I think my favorite was the raspberry jelly filled donut. The young lady working the counter was an absolute delight.

This place was amazing. Didn't look like much on the outside but the doughnuts were outstanding!! I picked up a couple dozen for a work function and everyone raves about them. These are NOT your typical doughnuts...they were HUGE! And the specialty doughnuts were included in their standard assorted dozen which I honestly couldn't believe. Fantastic place and if I am ever back in town I will be sure to go there again for the group.

We called about 45 min before they were going to close to see if we could order to pick up real quick and they were very nice & put together a variety box for us. The doughnuts were GIANT! They were all delicious as well. The ladies in the store were very nice & friendly and after living in Charlotte for 15 years I was SHOCKED that a dozen custom doughnuts like these was under $20! Definitely worth a visit
