Carols is a sleeper! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is absolutely delicious! The burgers are cooked to perfection using locally sourced meat and the fries are equally fantastic! I've eaten at countless burger places and cannot name a better one. The service here is also warm, attentive and inviting. I cannot say enough great things about this gem...remarkable for Clay County!

Carol’s is everything we want and love about traditional diners. The service and food were absolutely wonderful and the inviting atmosphere screamed HOME! This is a diamond of a restaurant! I’d say it’s safe to say they have the best sweet tea in WV and I’ve tried A LOT. You don’t find delicious, homemade food like this in chain restaurants nor do you experience the welcoming and friendly conversation. You will leave happy and full.
