Decided to take a break from I-79 drove a short distance to Clendenin in search of Elk River Baking Company. We were looking for a bakery treat and walked away with a slice of blueberry sour cream pie, sea salt chocolate chip cookie and a sugar cookie along with an iced tea. All baked goods were scrumptious and fresh. The lady at the counter was helpful and friendly. We will dine in next time and take in a brew a few doors down at the local brewery. Exceptional service and great cookies too! I wanted to send a couple dozen cookies to my daughter to celebrate her at her place of work. Cindy offered a great choice of salted chocolate chip (and 1/2 unsalted) got them delivered to her work and even included a card. My daughter said they tasted great. Cant wait to visit Elk River Baking Company soon.

Fried chicken was amazing! Took more than an hour to get it. Tried to order other foods off menu but they didn’t even have 1/2 what was on there. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. Family atmosphere was great. You could tell it was a local favorite. Amazing cookies!
