My wife and I as well as my grandma went to eat there for dinner this evening & we were very disappointed 😔 The food my wife got was the campfire meal and the meat was dry and had looked like it had been overcooked. when we finally got our biscuits they were very cold and dry as well. I'm not one to complain as I understand the struggle of working with people and food. we had to keep asking our waiter for things that we need and when we told her she just keeps saying "I'm sorry I forgot" I understand forgetting but when it's a constant it becomes frustrating. The waiter was very sweet and nice other than forgetting everything. I don't understand her work day maybe things have been difficult for her or maybe she was a new and was nervous and I completely understand but maybe the next family serves wont be as understanding as mine but anyways over all I rate a 5/10.

I loved that they had boosters and highchairs! Quick service for a Saturday night

I called five times for a pickup order, no answer. I walked over to the restaurant to place a pickup order, the phone order person still wasn’t there after 10 minutes. Now it’s getting late so we decided to be seated. ANSWER the phone so I can place an order.

Never thought anyone could mess up cooking an egg , but Cracker Barrel did it on both visits. Got an egg sandwich, bit into it and yolk came pouring out - this after I told them to fry the egg so the yolk was solid.

No spoons - had to stir coffee with fork.

Not toast - hash browns were cold.

Waitress was absent for assistance- had to hunt down manager.

This is the third time we’ve been to this restaurant and the chicken tenders and breaded chicken breast’s have been cold to lukewarm. We brought this to their attention once and they took the chicken back and we waited over 25 minutes only for it to return to the table cold again. By this time everyone else at the table was done; we got it to go and warm it up to a safe temperature to consume. This cold food could cause illness.

Food and service were very good.

Hash brown potatoes tasted like scrapings from bottom of the pan. Also picked up pancakes (3) to go. No syrup, pancakes were small and tasted like they were made in old pan oil or something. Did not eat them.

Had a large party so not trying to slam the restaurant. But half of the people had wrong orders or they ran out of the food and didn't let us know until serving others. It just seemed a little disorganized.

Came here while visiting family over the summer. My meal was outstanding and the service was really good!

We had 13 ppl in our grp.. the younger man, His name was not Warden but I'm so sorry I can't recall his correct name BUT he was wonderful. Got everyone's order correct, kept our glasses full and smiled the whole time he took care of us.

Busser broke a glass syrup bottle on the floor and left it there. Myself and another table noticed it in disgust. We watched a server walk over it. It was Mothers Day, very busy at the noon hour. We summoned a manager and she was right on it. Having worked for CB as a 5 star trainer/auditor this was not the standard.

It was very busy when we arrived, but everyone was friendly and seated us right away. We placed our order and waited about 15 minutes and we got our dinner. The waitress was very attentive, and very accommodating.

Mine and my grand daughter’s Chicken n dumplings were so watered down it was soup. Pinto bean side was watered down an eatable. Grandson’s Mac n cheese was also soupy. Worst meal I’ve had in a long g time. Very disappointed.

Edit: 2 years later I decided to trynit again, and it got worse. We waited over an hour for our food and most of it was cold, undercooked or burny. The waitress was more worried about sweeping up her area than checking on our food, refilling our drinks or taking our dirty salad bowls off of our table. I wish i could say that i was pleasantly surprised, but it just confirmed my already terrible opinion.

The food was delicious, but it was cold by the time we got it. This isn't the first time we've had this issue there. Last time, I had to go to the kitchen and ask for our food myself!

Old stuff on wall, curiosities, friendly waitress, good service, good ole home style cooking.
