Rachel & Katelyn were so sweet! They were the best waitresses ever. We drove about 1.5 hours from Blacksburg to try this restaurant and were NOT disappointed. What lovely food and fantastic service.

I don’t even have words to describe how amazing The Dish is. The food is incredible. My husband and I got wings and pretzels to start which were unmatched. We each got steaks (he got the 6oz filet and I got the 12 oz NY strip) which were some of the best steaks we’ve ever had and incredibly affordable! They were the most tender steaks we have ever had and they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Each steak came with two sides so we both got the Mac and Cheese which was so flavorful. It’s not your typical Mac and cheese but it was still incredible. We also got the vegetable of the day which was the (dry-rub) buffalo cauliflower which was awesome. It had a nice hint of buffalo flavor without being overbearing or swimming in sauce. Everyone was so nice and everything was fresh and made to order. I will absolutely be back. Can’t recommend The Dish enough.

A great dinner at the bar with friendly staff. I had the house burger and it was delicious. The focus on local ingredients very much came through. I was welcomed to return by the staff anytime I was through and very much appreciated being able to joke with them through the night.

We arrived and was a good atmosphere, they were not extremely busy. We sat down ordered drinks, then had to stop waitress to order our food. Drink glasses was empty for 10-15 minutes, and had to ask another waitress to fill drinks up. 58 minutes my cheese burger and my friends chicken Parmesan. Food was decent but not worth the wait.

Get the grilled cheese! All of us had a wonderful meal. But the grilled cheese and tomato soup was wonderful. We spent the day on the mountain at Winter Place and decided to drive a little out-of-the-way to stop and get dinner. Our son actually got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and proclaimed that it was the best he's ever had. After tasting it, I would have to agree with him. I had the fillet which was cooked perfectly, and was very tasty My wife had the burger which had amazing flavor. This place may be a little bit out-of-the-way but it's worth the drive.

We had a lovely lunch passing through. We cannot wait to come back!Jacob was our server and he was quite knowledgeable and gave us great advice. We shared the chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they were perfection. Lots of protein with clean, dry Bibb lettuce, sauce, peanuts and scallions. Just excellent.We shared the chicken Parmesan sandwich with Mac and cheese for the side. The Mac and cheese was penne in a creamy sauce with a little kick. The chicken parm was delicious but so generous. The entire sandwich was good but the bread put it over the top for me!We wanted dessert but had no room. In fact, we left with two boxes.We highly recommend giving this little place a try…it’s exceptional.Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent access for people in wheelchairs or just mobility issues.

My family and I have been going to this place for awhile now… the staff knows my family and even remembers their drink orders when they arrive in town (including mine) the food is really good and their adults drinks are awesome as well….. so check out this place when your in the area, it’s small but big inside…..

We visited here while skiing at Winterplace and someone suggested it was one of the best, and no doubt, one of the best places we have found while traveling. Fresh local ingredients and superb service made our visit exceptional! The macaroni and cheese was so good we went back the next day to take some home with us! Definitely give it a try!
