The Simply Sweet Cafe is a hidden gem in Durbin! We started stopping for coffee when passing through Durbin to visit family. Their Frappes, coffee and service are amazing! We were recently able to try the food as well, and it was also great. We hit one of the fall Friday coffee flight events, and if you don’t try it while available you’re missing out! Every drink sampled was delicious!

Probably the slowest service I have ever gotten at a cafe, waited well over an hour for a bagel and a biscuit, that was alright at best. They were not even busy and had 3 people in the kitchen. Simply just no idea how to run a restaurant.

We stayed in a lovely river house across the street from Simply Sweet for 3 nights and we ate/got drinks at this place 4 times. Coffee was wonderful, food and sweets were delicious, very reasonable prices, and friendly and attentive service.
Got lost ended up in this little and I mean little town. Found some food at this tiny cafe and was like I hope it’s decent… Not gonna lie I had the best dang chicken wrap that I’ve ever tried and I’ve been all over this country. Met the owner and he was very friendly and had a great chat. I hope to come visit this place again for a day trip with some friends.

Life saving.Walking distance from our AirBnb, this block buster of a cafe was everything we could have asked for to start our day.The food… where to start. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and pancakes. I tell you hwhat, if those biscuits were any fluffier, I would’ve thought they were clouds. The bacon, divine. The eggs, cooked to perfection, covered in melted freedom cheese. If you don’t have it with mayo, then you Have. Not. Lived.As for the pancakes. Topped with the perfect ratio of butter to pancake, every bite filled me with great joy. Filling, yet light, the paradoxical pancakes finished the meal in grand fashion.My friends were equally satisfied with their breakfast sandwiches and Ruben… side note, the freshly cooked fries were *chefs kiss*. We left the cafe satisfied and ready to take on the Lodge Marys that awaited us.I will be back to try the biscuits and gravy! Until we meet again, Simple Sweet Cafe.
