First visit: My partner and I each got the black bean burger with a side of fries, and we were told though it wasn’t labeled it was vegan as is. The burger was delicious and had big portions of veggies on it, but the side of fries was super small for the $3 extra it cost. Overall it was much pricier and smaller portions than some places (like The Take Out nearby that we just got our second meal from as our takeout dinner while in town). Great coffee, delicious food, cool atmosphere, and lovely staff. Stopped on our way out of town after visiting New River Gorge NP. If you are looking for a local breakfast place, it’s not to be missed. Give Jimmy the dog a pat on the head for us!

I came to Wood Iron after a hike and I was so pleased! Great drip coffee (with free refills!), and the staff was so so kind. Would definitely dine here again. :)

Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options, dairy free options, and gluten free options.
