We have stopped in there twice now for breakfast and the food is excellent. I love that it’s a Mom and Pop place and when you go in there are the regulars who just talking and they will say hi when you come in. Everything is homemade. I had the pancakes which you get 2 large ones and bacon and fried potatoes. I had a sweet tea to drink and zucchini bread all for less than $10. Our waitress who has been there for 24 years also does a lot of the baking. She is friendly and you can’t beat her service. If you are coming through Harman I highly recommend you that you stop. Also get the blackberry cobbler.

Cute little diner, only one person was working and it was fairly quick. Biscuits and gravy were definitely homemade and delicious, pancakes were light and fluffy, omelettes were good. Prices were great, can’t beat them anywhere. Would recommend!

We arrived at 10 AM on a Saturday morning. Posted hours say they close at 1 PM. When we walk up to the door, we see a "closed," sign, but people were walking in and out, so we figured they just forgot to take it down when they opened.
When we go in, the waitress sees us, starts slamming dishes and doors, and while glaring at us, mumbles to herself "No one can read a freaking closed sign." She could have used her words and said "Hey guys, I'm actually closed right now," and it would have been no big deal. Instead, she was extremely passive aggressive for no reason. We just left with no acknowledgment from her.
Not sure if the people sitting (who walked in seconds before us) were served or not.

Quaint little place with excellent service, good conversation, and good home cooked food. My only complaint was that the food was too inexpensive. My wife and I each had breakfast and coffee. $15.11

If you're staying at Canaan Valley Lodge, go here for breakfast, not the place that's closer. Super quaint, where the locals go, awesome food, very affordable.
