The Hutte was fun and good. We were staying up the street and decided to have dinner here as it just opened for the season. You really need to walk around as it’s almost a museum in addition to being a restaurant. The service was great and the food was hearty. We really enjoyed our dinner, it was fun!
The Hutte, located in the small mountain village of Helvetia, West Virginia, consistently delivers good, wholesome, farm-to-table food that replicates the hearty Swiss cuisine enjoyed by the village's original residents. Drove down from Morgantown just to try this restaurant and see the area. Not disappointed in either. My wife and I split the roast beef over noodles. The dinner was $25 and included a fresh salad, bread basket, and a small plate of local made Swiss cheese. It also came with fresh green beans, a side of homemade applesauce, and an amazing side of sauerkraut (almost sweet and not so tart). All for $25. We also added a side of fried finely sliced potatoes. Almost like a potato pancake....
