Sorry, but it seems they don't know how to operate at maximum capacity. They did not give us a booth because they had already sat that waitress 4 times. Why would you turn away a $100 tab because you don't want to double seat a waitress? All you have to do is ask a waitress from another station to pick up a table in section bleep! That is what we said when we left and went to Mi Pueblito where the food, service, and staff is always wonderful! What were we thinking?? Our bad. SMH🤦♀️

I was very pleasantly surprised. My fajitas were delicious. The steak, shrimp and chicken weren't overcooked. 😁 My husband had three different tacos and he said they were delicious! I definitely will be back!!

My husband and I visited Whiskey Taco for the first time last night and really enjoyed it. I ordered three tacos, the Korean, Whiskey, and Carnitas Pineapple, along with beans and rice. My husband had the Texas Fajitas and a Whiskey Taco Bowl.
The Korean taco was easily my favorite. It was packed with flavor and had plenty of sauce. I liked the other two tacos as well, though next time I order the Whiskey taco I will ask for the egg over easy. The fully cooked egg made it a little dry, even with the sauce.
We both appreciated how unique the menu is compared to most Mexican restaurants. The portions were slightly on the smaller side, but not unreasonable. My husband is a big eater and usually only orders one entrée at Mexican restaurants where he orders two at most other establishments, but after seeing review photos he decided to order two, and that turned out to be the right call.
There are still several menu items we are excited to try, and we will definitely be back.

I don’t usually go here because it is always so loud But this time I went and it was not booming in there. The music was not too loud and there wasn’t a huge crowd to contribute to the noise levels. It was a complete 180 from my previous visits. The food was meh and the service was very polite but not that attentive to our table.

I am not one who tends to leave reviews, especially when they are negative, but after the experience last night. I feel obligated to voice my frustrations. 1st of all. We (my family and I) eat here often. The food and service are always top notch. That being said. From the time we entered last night at 8:15 we felt rushed. They were not eager to seat us right away. Just told us that they close in 45 minutes. From there our server who did a fine job by the way, had the additional task of apologizing every time he came back to our table. The restaurant was in such a hurry to close that our drinks were wrong. They did not have the right ingredients and were lacking in flavor. Our cantina dip was missing the shrimp, our tacos were cold. He even brought out a replacement taco for my daughter because of this and even it was ice cold. I had even handed him the chicken in it to show him, and he agreed. And of course, was apologetic. I was not going to leave a review because I wanted to discuss with management the next day on the phone since they were in a rush to get out of there. After my phone call with the manager and him simply stating they don't make mistakes like that and not offering to not make it right in any way is now grounds for me to not ever come back. I understand most negative reviews would be 1 star or 0 if possible across the board and not state anything positive, but I for one want to describe our entire experience. Not just the bad. Good server, bad food and drinks. Best advice I could give him is to look for another job. Especially if the management staff is just going to be greedy and not admit to their mistakes. This place use to be rated a 4.7 for the longest time and it has continued to drop. Not sure what is going on. We will just make the drive up the road from here on out to another location.

Our Academy Show Team drove to Whiskey Taco for lunch from the Winfield KVHA Show today June 28. It was approximately 2:30 ish. We had a group of 14 people. The host refused to seat us. He was rather short with us and said they could not accommodate our large group. We noted several empty tables. They did not appear to be overly busy. Business must be really good to turn away our business. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least. Not the kind of service we would expect. In the past they were able to seat us with no problem. We were able to find an alternate restaurant that was more than happy to seat us and serve us. Shame on Whiskey Taco!!!

Ordered takeout and was disappointed. Several requested items were missing. The “chili” was bland, and the taco came without cheese. While the salsa was tasty, the quesadilla lacked cheese as well. The only item that stood out was the al pastor taco — it was the one decent dish in the order.

Sometimes you just need to give things a second chance. The service and atmosphere are top notch but the food left something to be desired the first time we went. Tried something different the second time and most of the food was pretty good. Not the best tacos I have ever had but certainly good enough to satisfy a craving!
