The food was honestly a little bland. They also told me they didn't have shrimp egg rolls; but in a way that made it sound like it wasn't even on the menu. Which is weird in my opinion. However, it was okay and we ate it all. The reason I gave it 4 stars was for the silliest reason: my fortune came true.

We always order from Evergreen, and the food has consistently been good. However, my recent experience has left me disappointed. I ordered a combo meal and opted to add a soup this time, but they sent me the smallest container I've ever seen. I paid an extra $1.25 for this small container? I'm really let down. I've included a picture of the soup alongside a container of sauce that my wife received for her crab wontons.

Wish I had read the reviews before going I'm calling it Nevergreen instead of Evergreen because I'm never going back again. Learn from your reviews and fix your mistakes. Invest in new kitchen equipment. I ordered ribs and was horrified to see them being cooked in a microwave. When I told them I didn't want ribs cooked in a microwave they lied to my face and said they were not microwaving my ribs then lied again and said that was only part of their cooking process . Long story short after more lies I received rubber ribs. Having worked in the kitchens of several restaurants and being a chef myself I knew the outcome and my requests to have them cooked another way fell on deaf ears. Save your money I don't trust a restaurant willing to lie to a customers face. No we did not eat the ribs a waste of money. I have never given any restaurant a bad review this is the first.

Prices have exploded. Shrimp used to be 25c per piece when adding it to lomein and now its 1$. Menu items have also increased 50%. Thanks trump for the tariffs I guess.

Went there for some soup. Soup was amazing and service was fast.

This was honestly pretty disappointing. The chicken, fried rice, and rangoons were pretty low quality for an American Chinese restaurant. I normally try to give restaurants two attempts in the event they had a bad night...but I can't warrant a second try for this restaurant.

Please improve your recipes, especially for basic fried rice. It was so bland and disappointing. I rather drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Martinsburg for decent American Chinese food.

I came here ten years ago after my wife and i moved into the area and the food was so expensive we didnt return until now. Today, My General Tso chicken def had parts in it that were NOT chicken or were extremely outdated. I've never experienced spitting out Chinese food in all of my life it was so disgusting. Disappointed. This reaffirmed that not eating here was a good decision and for a place that automatically adds a convenience fee and tries to tack on an automatic tip for online orders they need to do better (see other reviews).

It's sad there isn't a good Chinese restaurant in the inwood Charlestown area but there's not. Imo, save your time and money.

We were in the mood for some Chinese food and decided to give the local shop a try. My Orange Chicken was extremely hot in the middle and kind of doughy on the outside. I have a suspicion that it was microwaved. My wife ordered something that wasn't supposed to be that sugary, but her sugar shot up afterward. The same dish at another restaurant didn't affect her that way so we gave it a try. Mediocre food. Definitely going to drive to Martinsburg next time.
