I came here ten years ago after my wife and i moved into the area and the food was so expensive we didnt return until now. Today, My General Tso chicken def had parts in it that were NOT chicken or were extremely outdated. I've never experienced spitting out Chinese food in all of my life it was so disgusting. Disappointed. This reaffirmed that not eating here was a good decision and for a place that automatically adds a convenience fee and tries to tack on an automatic tip for online orders they need to do better (see other reviews).
It's sad there isn't a good Chinese restaurant in the inwood Charlestown area but there's not. Imo, save your time and money.

We were in the mood for some Chinese food and decided to give the local shop a try. My Orange Chicken was extremely hot in the middle and kind of doughy on the outside. I have a suspicion that it was microwaved. My wife ordered something that wasn't supposed to be that sugary, but her sugar shot up afterward. The same dish at another restaurant didn't affect her that way so we gave it a try. Mediocre food. Definitely going to drive to Martinsburg next time.

I have lived in multiple states and I have tried various Chinese restaurants, and by far, Evergreen is the worst I have ever tried. The house special fried rice is not fried, rather it is boiled cheep rice with no flavor and hardly any meat or veggies included in it. The chicken teriyaki sticks were so deep fried that they were 90 percent batter and 10 percent chicken. The crab rangoon was soggy and tasteless. I could go on and on. STAY AWAY!!

Every time I pay for extra extra chicken, I get barely anything. Like today i ordered extra chicken and got 6 pieces of chicken.

The food is delicious. 10/10 Highly recommended - customer service, food, and overall atmosphere are great! I can't wait to go again!
Ordered a large amount of different foods for myself, roommates, and guests and let me just say that the food was AMAZING! Generous portion sizes, delicious food, fast service, and fair prices? Absolutely. My roommates and I will be getting food here often.
I'm a pretty plain food/picky person, I've had sweet and sour chicken from every Chinese restaurant around and Evergreen had not only the best tasting, but the best leftovers as well. Usually sweet and sour chicken gets soggy/mushy, but that was not the case here. Hell, I even ate it cold and it was still as delicious as it was fresh. The amount of chicken inside the breading was INSANE!! I was so full off of a small portion, that I didn't even have to dish out any rice to go with it.
My friends and roommates enjoyed their egg rolls, lo meins, and orange chickens! I can't remember the entire order, but there wasn't a single dish that left any of us unsatisfied. Nothing was mediocre, nothing was "just OK", everything was amazing and perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better first impression of a restaurant and their food.

The food is great and the price is affordable. The price is reasonable for what we get. I will definitely come back.
Absolutely like this place! The customer service is great, and the restaurant is clean and hygienic. It is definitely the most cost-effective.
