Stopped in one evening for a meal with a friend. He got the Frac burger, made of chopped brisket, and I got a smoked grilled chicken salad. It was nice and comfy inside during a snow storm and the food was delicious.

Great BBQ!!!Had the frac sandwich. Had brisket, pulled porch, jalapeños, 2 cheeses on a real good bread.. and I got a side of slaw and put on it myself. Had o rings and they had a really good horseradish spicy sauce for them yumm

welps, not impressed as of yet. got a burger that seemed microwaved and dried like the desert onna basic bun with scantily layers to include one barely crisp lettuce slice, a few half cut onions and two pickles... complimented with freezer bagged french fries that had zero salt or seasoning to boot and coleslaw that was not coleslaw.bet the BBQ side of this menu is a safe bet as it seems that's the specialty here in these parts.best regards, from a seasoned taste world traveler.

Hickory House is a casual BBQ restaurant. The building does not look fancy on the outside, but the employees’ service and food on the inside are great. The menu lists appetizers such as fries and salads, platters such as babyback ribs and haddock, sandwiches such as brisket and pulled pork, sides such as baked potatoes and cheesy macaroni, and desserts such as apple pie and brownies. Prices are very reasonable.My husband and I ate dinner here once when we were on a road trip. All of the employees provided friendly and prompt service. We really enjoyed our pulled pork, smoked chicken breast, baked beans, coleslaw, onion tanglers, and pineapple with fruit dip.

My son and I stopped for dinner -- detouring off I-79 because they claim the best BBQ. We both ordered the beef brisket. The brisket was tasty, but the portions very small -- and I normally find most restaurant portions too large for a single meal. My brisket was at least 25% fat, so I ended up with just a few bites of meat. The baked beans were excellent and the baked potato was OK. This was also the first time I've ever been charged for a glass of water! Was not worth the detour and would not recommend.

If you have had real bbq you will not like this place. The brisket was like shoe leather and served cold, the slaw tasteless. The baked beans were passable but just barely. I will never dine here again. This is not real bbq. Someone needs to go to Texas and see how brisket should be smoked.

Stopped here for lunch and we were treated to fantastic food at a great price with very amiable staff in a classic setting. Absolute hidden gem of a smokehouse!
This is a nice place. the staff is great. The place is not the cleanest but the barbeque is just average.

Absolutely terrible experience. The food was alright but our orders were completely messed up, we didn’t complain at all.The server didn’t check on us at all. We still didn’t complain. After waiting they finally brought us a check. I was paying with card when our newborn son had a blowout and was getting fussy. We wanted to get him home so I walked to the counter and asked if there was any chance I could pay up front. One of the employees immediately got snappy “you can go sit down and your waitress will get it” I told her we needed to leave now. She again asserted to just wait for my waitress. Personally while I thought the unwillingness to accommodate us was unfortunate again I didn’t complain. I sat down, as I’m leaving, in clear view of us and in front of everyone the same worker proceeded to mock me to her fellow employee and in front of other customers, again I said nothing as we left.Just typical Karen behavior, was thinking about making this a regular Sunday stop but I don’t think I’ll ever be back here. Again the food was decent, the atmosphere was nice but the behavior of the staff was embarrassing.

Excellent dinner! We got the Loaded Pork BBQ Potato Meal with Mac and Cheese and French fries. The potato was really good along with the Mac and cheese. I would highly recommend this dish!! We also got the pork BBQ sandwich with Mac and cheese and baked beans. I loved the sweet tangy sauce! Perfect on the BBQ! The staff stayed on top of refills and we were in and out in an hour! Fast Friendly Service! The bathrooms were clean with plenty of products. I would highly recommend Hickory House if you are in the Weston, WV area!
