Robins Nest Family Restaurant

The Robins nest has been around for YEARS. The floor staff are angels that would do anything for you and truly want you to enjoy your stop. The cook is no Emeril or Gordon Ramsay, but he puts ALOT of heart into what he cooks and the quantity he prepares for. Your plate is always filled with good food and affordable at that. If you dont like something, tell the waitress and she will make it right. If you want home cooking and the best service around, Robins Nest is your place. If you want recoded violin music, shinny silverware, cloth napkins and waitresses that smile at you just for a bigger tip, this is not you stop.

Robin's Nest has been here for a long time and has been vetted by locals for years.The restaurant is part of the building where the gas station is, however it is a large separate internal atmosphere.I hope this review helps Google to list the restaurant in a way that the fueling does dwarf the restaurant icon on the map.

Horrible. Nothing is home cooked. A waitress takes a phone order, ready in 20 minutes but calls back in 20minutes saying they don't have what you ordered. Baked potatoes are old and nasty, no sour cream or butter came with order. Pork chops are dry and nothing but fat. Meatloaf worse. Tried this place 3 times being in a semi and nothing good comes out!!!! Sad to treat truck drivers that bad!!! Who do you make your $ off of????!!!!

Eggs over cooked. Burned edges, bac9n hard and cold, tea water luke warm. Toast good

Drove almost 350 miles just to visit this restaurant. Excellent food and even greater service!

We all enjoyed this place while visiting. If you you want home town West Virginia breakfast go here. It takes a while to get your food so don’t be in a hurry but it is worth the wait. The toast was made with homemade bread. The sausage gravy had plenty of meat just like mom used to make when we are back in town we would for sure come back here.

Food was pretty good but our waitress acted like she couldn't be bothered with us, didn't say anything out of the way but had that kind of attitude.

My sister and I stopped in this morning to order breakfast. We ordered it to go because we had stuff to do. She ordered the Sunshine Combo. Which is french toast, eggs, breakfast meat and potatoes. She ordered the eggs scrambled and they had hair in them. I ordered the two egg breakfast. I ordered my eggs over medium, and they were raw. The egg whites were still clear. Also my toast was just buttered bread it wasnt even toasted. The waitress took forever to take our order and was not friendly at all.

We asked for the special don't care for corned beef so ask bout there soup chili was one so I ordered that, usually if its soup of the day its been made that day and at least taste homemade or at least good. Tasted as if it was hotdogs chili with chili beans. I thought maybe they was low and had to add to it and thsts all they had. Also got a simple peanut butter sandwich. It wasn't even tasty. So disappointed! So we fed the rest of the sandwich to our dog, chili will go in trash. Were not picky people just like to taste good food at least.

I liked the restaurant it's cute except all the sauces came in package form like I'm eating fast food not only that but on the receipt it show on the bottom as show in pictures to tip the waitress and I know it's important to tip a waitress because they live off of them and it's courtesy but to ask on the receipt to give a tip made me not want to give one it left a bad taste in my mouth and it's disrespectful also the food was poorly made my shrimp was overly cooked the steak my bf got was gray almost and overly cooked on top of the mushrooms and onions was nasty looking like the mushrooms came out of a can and was too much of it covered the whole steak correction buried it will not eat here again

Always great food friendly service generous portions open 24 hours so breakfast all day I highly recommend this place to everyone they make you feel right at home here

Amazing customer service and a great stop to continue your journey. You would want to live here just to eat in this restaurant! The Steak and Eggs breakfast was off the charts. They would also treat your little ones with crayons and fun cups for their beverages. Thank you, Brenda, for such an amazing experience.

If you don't mind the flys some of the food is some what ok. Most things I had were either not cooked enough or to much. The service was great though.
