I finally tried Sam’s Hot Dog Stand for the first time, and I can’t believe I waited this long to check out such a regional staple. (Fun fact: Sam’s originally started just next door in Huntington.) I kept it simple with spicy sauce, mustard, and cheese. That spicy sauce really surprised me! It’s got a legit kick and a lot of flavor, not just heat. I also tried the bratwurst with kraut, spicy sauce, and jalapeños. The brat was juicy and the toppings worked really well...

I’m so happy to have Sam’s back in Ashland. I have missed it. It’s just as delicious as always. Staff was very professional and kind. I’ve been there almost everyday since I found out one was in Ashland. Absolutely the best Hot Dog Sauce around.

We ate hotdogs with spicy chili and slaw. Delicious, hot and fresh. Almost no wait time. We ate in car, very limited parking, probably because of the quality of food. We were sorry later that we didn't get some extra to take home. A little pricey but not outrageous.
