I've visited Candlewyck Inn a few times while in the Keyser, WV area, and unfortunately, the food hasn't quite met my expectations. During my last visit, I ordered the chicken parmigiana, and it was a bit disappointing. The sauce lacked flavor, the chicken seemed like it might have been a pre-made, frozen patty, and the spaghetti was overcooked, lacking the firmness of al dente pasta that I prefer.

Dinner is always wonderful at Candlewyck. Our family loves to frequent the Candlewyck any time we are in Keyser. Tonight we had the filet and stuffed shrimp specials for takeout and the steaks were cooked perfect! The stuffed shrimp was so yummy too! If you are looking for a great dinner, stop by and see Fred and his staff!

My son and I stopped in on a cross country road trip from NJ to CA and we had our dog with us so needed a to go order. The staff was amazingly helpful and fast and prepped our mozzarella sticks, chicken Alfredo and stuffed chicken to go. The food was delicious and the service was great.
Only disappointment was that we were told the veggie was fresh green beans. Our plates were placed in front of us with broccoli! Now, we like broccoli, but chose the fresh green beans. When I asked, she apologized and said they were out. Their entire dining room probably seats no more than 25 or 30, with only two tables occupied when we entered. I feel like the server should have known they were out. She offered to remove the broccoli from our plates; never offered an alternative or cost reduction. Otherwise, the food was hot and good. Beautiful place to dine.

Beautiful dining experience in a converted Victorian in Keyser, WV. Period wallpapaper and flooring complement the farmstyle decor and the draperies and furnishings from the latest 1800s in the era of king Coal and the railroads, when Keyser was in its glory. Food, service, and atmosphere were all superb. No pictures this time, we were too busy examining the surroundings and the delicious foods.
