I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I feel like my experience may be useful for someone looking to eat here.
My daughter and I have eaten here fairly regularly for the past couple years, and we have loved the little place, and it quickly became one of her favorites. Until recently. They are now under new management, and while the hours and wait time seem to be better, everything else seems not so much.
I’ve eaten here a couple times since the new management, and have been very dissatisfied with the service. The most recent time, I attempted to order their new brisket from the small specials card that the waitress carried. The waitress comes back to let me know that they’re out at the moment, which was fine, so I ordered their sirloin steak from the small menu instead. Kiddo ordered a cheeseburger and fries from their usual menu.
The steak I received wasn’t too bad. Fairly under seasoned, but tender and cooked correctly nonetheless. My daughter’s cheeseburger was the same, cooked well but bland. That wasn’t so bad and overall we were satisfied with the food.
When we went to leave and check out, I get to the front register, and see that my bill is almost $50. Concerned, I ask them to check it, and the manager tells me it’s the price of their ribeye.
Ribeye? I ordered a sirloin. I politely tell the manager and waitress that it must have been a mistake, seeing as how I wasn’t exactly planning to spend $30 for a steak. The manager proceeds to tell me that they don’t even serve sirloin, and that he “needs to take it off the menu.” Not really sure who was at fault for the mixup, but it was most definitely not what I had intended to order.
Fine and dandy, sometimes mistakes happen. However, at the end of the day, I was served (and subsequently charged for) a cut of meat that I didn’t ask for, and made that point as clear as I could to them while trying to be respectful. The manager made no attempt to make the situation right and left me with the comment “well, at least it was good!” We paid our needlessly high bill and left, and I don’t think we plan to come back any time soon.
So, if you’re looking to eat somewhere that may or may not serve you what you order, make it bland, and give no cares about righting their mistakes, then this place may be for you. As for me and kiddo, Hilltop Pizza isn’t much further away.

Haven't ate there since i was a kid in the early 2000s but since the new owner took over I've eaten there two days in a row, yesterday and today. Yesterday i tried the ribs and meatloaf, today i tried the brisket. Yesterday while waiting on my order to be packed he let me try a piece of ribs it was exactly what you wanted juicy and fell off the bone. The brisket today was soft and not dried out. Now let me get to what will keep me coming back as long as it stays consistent in taste and that was the meatloaf, it reminded me of my mawmaws meatloaf right off the bat. As long as the food taste stays consistent i see them having no problem staying busy for awhile to come. I hope they get all the business they could ever hope for.

We came over from Ohio to try this place out . We had lunch special (pork chop) and a breakfast. I’m pretty picky bc I’m a good cook so not often am I that impressed. Miss Gloria was our waitress and let me tell you she was a lovely lady . The sweet tea was also delicious and everything was pretty affordable. Definitely homemade. Keep in mind they take cash only tho . We will be back to try more !

The only person who could cook, doesn't work there anymore. Immature mom and daughter show. I noticed they don't have a food handler liscense either.
