I love good bbq and have eaten bbq in many states and a few countries. The bbq here was…ok…. Kinda generic. It wasn’t bad it was just…. Ok.
Everything was delicious. The staff was courteous and went above and beyond for our group.

The restaurant felt warm and cozy on a cool night, but we were the only people dining in on a Saturday evening. Perhaps more people take out food? The food was decent, not the best BBQ I've ever had, but fresh. (Mac and cheese however was not our favorite,) but when asking questions about popular items or how their ordering worked, we were not given very good answers, granted the worker was younger. We had told them it was our first time in. Food was out quick. Ribs were good. They just lacked attention to guests and once we got our food, we never had a check back in or a goodbye as we were leaving, which felt cold after we were only ones there.
I asked ChatGPT to create a list of high rated bbq restaurants close to I64E in west VA on my route, assuming I was leaving at a certain time and wanted to have lunch at a certain time.
Hog Wild was the spot AI recommended.
I was blown away by how good everything was.. They even had homemade lemonade!
The pulled pork melted in my mouth, literally.
Brisket was also on point.
Tasty mac & cheese, green beans, baked beans and collard greens.
Super clean place, very friendly staff, and 10/10 bbq! Highly recommend.

Ran out of ribs. Had the smoked turkey leg. It was tasty but dry. Beans were generic.
Nice place in town. The staff was super. The facility looks clean. In my opinion the meat was overseasoned, and a bit salty. Good flavor though. You can buy it by the pound. The mac and cheese was standard. I was impressed with the green beans.

The bbq was great, along with the service. It was a nice afternoon during our visit so we were able to enjoy our meal outside.

No real flavor not sure why i got a hrd bun with what was supposed to be a dinner brisket but whatever the portion well i had to get more to eat after this and it was lunch. All in all i would skip this one until the portion or price under goes a big revision to match the quailty of there product.

Chicken was so salty you couldn't eat it. Every thing was chopped too the point of almost being a course grind . Don't chop brisket, slice it.
