Went to grab some sandwiches to take back to our hotel. Lady at the counter was so sweet and patient with my children, gave my husband tons of extra pickles (to his delight), and was helpful in making suggestions. Plus everything was delicious!!! We had the Carnegie and Mountaineer and split them. Yum yum!

I've had a few sandwiches here and they were top notch for lunch. Plus, they have soda and chips. I really like that you can go outside if you want and enjoy your food among the calm Lewisburg setting.

Parking: Plenty of parking along the street beside The Market and Carnegie Hall.

We were in town for the state fair. Happened to stop at The Market on the way out of town for lunch. We had such a fun experience with the staff. We laughed our way though our order. The food was so good! Very simple ingredients done with love that tasted fantastic! We highly recommend and we will definitely visit again!!

Small cafe with indoor and outside seating. Located on the corner of the west end of Main Street in downtown historic Lewisburg, WV. Great for breakfast and lunch. I enjoyed an egg salad sandwich loaded with extra toppings of banana peppers, tomatoes, etc. Very reasonably priced.

Parking: Very crowded area, especially during lunch hours.

Quaint little Breakfast and lunch cafe. We enjoyed a very good breakfast, fast service and friendly staff. It’s good to support local businesses as we pasted through Lewisburg, WV. The Market is located in the beautiful & historic downtown area.

Bad Food & Worse AttitudesI’ll start by saying the woman at the counter was pleasant & did what she could to assist me.Overall, I had the most pitiful turkey sandwich I’ve ever seen, I’d literally rather eat a school lunch, and paid $15 (w/ tip) for it. The menu said the sandwich came with Swiss & I decided to add cheddar. When I received the sandwich, it had only American cheese. I took it back & this is where my issue started. The “cook” started arguing with me about whether it said Swiss on the ticket, even though it’s literally listed on the menu. Then, when she was wrong about that she started arguing with me about the clearly American cheese on my sandwich actually being cheddar because she made it. So she added the Swiss but refused to give me cheddar. With that already being a sour encounter, she proceeded to complain loudly about having to fix my order. As a black Woman, stopping in West Virginia, I knew to expect less than pleasant interactions but the food could at least be decent if it’s going to be served with a side of racism.

The employees were pretty rude to me because I looked different and stand out but I didn't care because the food was ready quick. Yuck! It was ok.

Kid-friendliness: I mean. As friendly as they were to anyone else...

Parking: What? It's like in a car but not when you're moving but for like a while and not at a stop light

Very nice quaint spot. I had the roasted pepper soup with Gouda cheese and the Pilot salad. All very good and would come back.

We had a delightful lunch here yesterday during the town's Chocolate Festival. After consuming way more sweets than normal, we wanted a solid lunch and we saw a lunch special on a sign board that was right up our alley. It was a bacon and tomato grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato basil soup. Both of us ordered this, and we chose marbled rye and whole wheat. It was five-star delicious, and we were thrilled that the meal also included a bag of chips and oyster crackers for the soup. I wish I had packed a cooler because I definitely would have bought more soup to take home. In addition to the great food, all of the employees were so friendly and welcoming. The Chocolate Festival brings in many people to the town, and these workers treat everyone like their best friend. Kudos to management for hiring excellent people! I visit a few Lewisburg, WV a few times a year, and this will be my restaurant of choice.
