My absolute favorite restaurant! They have the BEST homemade Alfredo sauce and pasta I have ever tried.. it’s so good that I buy just the Alfredo sauce to cook with at home! Also, their banana pepper appetizer is to die for. Steak is great also! Everything here is homemade and delicious. I definitely recommend!

I was watching and waiting for someone’s review after seeing him treat folks at 317 like garbage.
Just want to add on to Ray Es review. I witnessed him belittle a female server and talk to her poorly regarding his bill. The server made every effort to explain the bill, but he continued to speak to her poorly. It’s sad that folks can post poor reviews when they clearly are the people that suck.

Awesome atmosphere. Servers/bartenders a little apathetic… don’t seem to care too much. At the end, had to ask for the check 3 times.
I ordered the ribeye, which comes with a side and salad. When I asked if I could trade the salad for a side, she said sure. She never mentioned that the pricing on the sides was an UPCHARGE! So they soaked me for $2 for mashed potatoes and $7 for asparagus (even though it was listed as $3).
BTW… the steak was good… a thin cut but cooked right. The asparagus was perfect , but only 4 sticks, and the mashed potatoes were average (not worth $2 up charge).
After questioning it, the bartender offered to refund $4 for the asparagus. I said don’t bother. If y’all can’t explain your charges as people order… buyer be ware. My mistake. Won’t make it again.
Do a little training and make your people earn the customers. So much potential, but came up way short on this occasion.

317 The Steak House was out of this world good. I have been searching for a good place to eat in Logan West Virginia for a couple of years now as my job sends me there a few times a year. I finally found it at 317 The Steak House and I will be making a visit every time I’m in town. I would suggest you do the same.

Their service is slow, but that wasn’t my main problem because they were decently nice. My main problem was their inability to cook a steak that has a decent taste. I can try to mess up a steak and it still turn out better than this sorry excuse of an unseasoned, undercooked and overcooked, sloppy piece of meat. I’m sure all the employees are great people, however they need to change how they season and cook the steak if they want to serve quality food. Fries and cheese fries were good though, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Made reservations for two on Valentine's Day 2025 for 8:00 p.m. When we arrived, the hostess told us it would be just a few minutes before our table would be ready.
But after arriving 10 minutes early, waiting until 8:30 p.m., and seeing multiple couples taken ahead of us, I got curious.
So I walked up and asked the hostess how much longer she thought it would be before we were seated. She asked my name, I gave it to her, and then I watched her slide her finger down the list to find my name. To my surprise, it had already been crossed through as if we had already been seated.
Once she realizes her mistake, she gets us a couple of menus and seats us in the bar area, at the very back corner of the room.
Once seated, we waited for another 25 minutes without speaking to a waitress. At that point, it became apparent that we were going to have to track one down ourselves, and that's exactly what we did.
After having to track down a waitress and order our drinks, we also went ahead and ordered appetizers (to save time) because it was becoming painfully obvious where all of this was headed.
After ordering our drinks, they finally arrived 15 minutes later (water and sweet tea). At that point, we then decided to go ahead and order our entrees.
Fast forward another 30 minutes, and we still hadn't received our salads or appetizers. So when the owner's wife passed by and asked us how things were going, we explained to her the service issues we had experienced up to that point.
We asked if she would check on our order for us, and she obliged, but 20 more minutes would pass without us hearing from her either. At this point, I began to wonder if the colossal failure of the 317 staff was intentional.
The straw that broke the camels back came when the couple seated next to us (who had only been seated a mere 30 seconds before we were) received their entrees and were enjoying their Valentine's date together.
Meanwhile, here we had been seated for over an hour and a half, and we hadn't even been offered refills, let alone been served our side salads, appetizers, or entrees like the couple who, again, were seated a mere 30 seconds before we were.
We finally decided to leave after waiting for 2 hours and the only service we had been provided was a glass of water and sweet tea. All of this after having made reservations on Valentines Day.
Apparently, you have to know somebody at 317 just to receive some basic hospitality. By far, it was the worst service by a restaurant I never even got to eat at.
If I could give the staff negative stars, I would. Worst dining experience of my life, and that's saying something because I've had the unfortunate experience of eating in 3rd world countries, and no, that's not an exaggeration.
Truthfully, I've never witnessed such complete failures within a restaurant, and they happened at multiple levels of the staff. Trained monkeys could have done better.

My husband and I eat at 317 a couple times a month. We always have excellent service and great food! I saw a review where it said there is a heavy smoke smell. We have never experienced that because they quit allowing smoking in the bar area YEARS ago.

Service is great and the food is always top notch . My family and I eat here twice a week and have never had a problem. We have even had big parties up to 30 people. The wait staff is great with my two boys as well and they always know how to make them both feel special. We truly love our 317 family!
