Our riding group stayed there this weekend, with 4 rooms, the rooms are a little outdated... BUT the mattresses slept great and if we had a concern they fixed it. I feel like it is a clean motel, and feels family owned. They made us feel at home & they were super accomodating . We will definitely stay there again. Had breakfast. I got the waffle with bacon, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. It was a pretty good breakfast but kind of on the plain side. The restaurant also doesnt have butter so we had to use a whipped oil mixture by land o lakes. Overall the food was good and worth the money but they would benefit by adding some value added things like real butter.
This was my first visit to the Colonial Room Restaurant. We got there about 8;45 am and wondered if it was open because it looked dark inside, but it was. The place was devoid of customers, except for one other couple, the whole time we were there.The atmosphere was peaceful. The decor reminded me of Cracker Barrel and was interesting to look at. There is plenty of seating, and a gift shop with necessities for travelers (it's by a motel), Hatfield and McCoy Trail T-shirts,...
