Went for breakfast an walked in door thought I was entering a bar not a diner. Was dark an nothing like the old diner they had. Wanted chipped beef gravy, that's our usual there..they was out of it..we was the only customers there the other place was always packed. Will not go back because it wasn't that little diner feeling I love but more of a bar.

We loved the Momma Boyds diner location and thought we would give the new downtown location a try. They are not the same! 6 of us went for breakfast and only 1 of the 6 dishes was any good. Hamburger and bacon were burnt black, both country fried steaks were soggy and taste like old oil, no sauce or salsa for the quesadilla and the strawberry pancakes had no strawberries. The server was nice but elderly and seemed overwhelmed and unattentive. A second server came in at the end of our meal and was energetic and super nice. She listened when I expressed our issues with the food and apologized. She even gave us coupons for our next visit because we had already paid. Unfortunately the experience was bad enough that we won't be going back, even with the coupon.

The restaurant is dark and cold. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet, I received a ham and burnt egg omelet, no cheese. My husband ordered the BLT it had no lettuce. My mom ordered eggs soft, her eggs were burnt. My son said his Belgian waffle tasted like it came from a motel continental breakfast. We were a group of 5 sitting at table for 4.
You can tell the restaurant is geared for the bar night life not a small town breakfast place. I will never be back again.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

In the evening it changes it's name to Sorettos and becomes a speakeasy. Simple but lovely food. I had the burger and my wife the chicken sandwich. They were both very good. The atmosphere and music were both excellent and the staff lovely. Just a nice place to have a bite to eat and pass some time. We would happily return. I gather the menu will be greatly expanded in 2 weeks time. Loved everything about it.

I've enjoyed my experience at Mama Boyd's on Warm Springs Ave and had high hopes for the downtown venue. Sadly, the food was disappointing. I ordered the Swiss and mushroom smash burger and basket of onions rings. The burger was not smashed, the mushrooms tasted like they were warmed from the can, no lettuce or tomato, and the bun was cold as if it had been in the refrigerator. The onion rings came in a basket but we're far from a basket of rings - more like a side of rings. On the plus side, the service was very good.

I loved this place, it's beautiful inside and the service was amazing and we loved the food

Chicken and waffles were pretty good. It seemed like a waffle house style waffle and very crunchy pan-fried bone in chicken.
