We traveled an hour n a half to come eat here. My husband suprised me with a BBQ anniversary dinner. The interior was very charming. I ended up getting the Ribeye special along with ribs I couldn't choose. Our food was out very quickly. He got a burger and BBQ cheese fries. Everything was absolutely delishious. I wish I could leave 10 stars instead of five. The owner Travis came over to us and asked how we liked our food. This guy was one of the nicest and perfessional entrepreneurs I've ever met. You can tell He really loves his business, its quality and it showes. My steak tasted incredible. I am an A1 person but I did not want any because the flavor of the steak was absolute perfection. The ribs were just as delishious everything was... oh and the Greens I loved they were the best I've ever had. We are going to return and bring friends. Mountaineer BBQ is a hidden gem that is hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. Seriously. I recommend the steak, ribs, greens, just everything! I wish I could post a pic but I don't see an option.

I ordered my food from Mountaineer Meat Smokers AT the Garage on King at 11:45 on Friday to pick up around 12:05. It was an estimated 20-25 minute time given on the site until ready, which was perfect because of the drive time from my work to the food establishment. At 11:50, I received a text that my food was already ready. When I arrived at 12:05 as planned for, the food was cold and had been sitting on their counter the entire time. The cheese on my hot sandwich was solidified. My chips were mushy. When I voiced my concern over the discrepancy on the estimated wait and the time they decided to make it and my food being cold, way prior to my arrival, I was given attitude and "WELL WHADDYA WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?!" from the lady working there. I will never be spending money with this business again. I did not enjoy a single bite of my meal.On top of this, I had to circle the block 4+ times to find a single parking spot for the Garage on King, and had to pay for my parking spot and still walk 2 blocks.

Stopped in at the original location for dinner tonight, and the barbecue wasn't up to their usual standard. We had brisket and pulled pork. Both came out cold, and the pork had very little flavor. The brisket could've also used a little more time on the smoker.Hopefully this was just a fluke. We'll probably stop by again and give it another shot, but tonight was very disappointing when compared to other times we've eaten here. Maybe they're spread a little thin with the additional location.

The food is great. The brisket is tender and delicious. The corn bread with honey butter is amazing. The Mac and cheese is very tasty. The sweet tea is the best in town. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the coleslaw wasn't very good. It was a little salty and had too much celery seed in it. Definitely recommend.

Owner walks around talking like a hillbilly and really talking up his food. Check your price to quality and quantity ratio. Will NOT go back to the “garage” place. Trust me, you’re gonna price yourself right out of business.Parking: Horrible, horrible parking at new location… horrible. Parked next to a copier store and got side view mirror knocked off.

Even asked the person at the counter and they said that it was the normal amount. Also didn’t get a pickle and only got a small handful of chips. The meat was tasty, but wasn’t nearly enough to be worth my $15 or satisfy my appetite. Very disappointing.

We only had the pulled pork sandwich but it wasn't anything special. Definitely not authentic Texas barbecue but it was okay. The potato salad was good and the coleslaw was excellent.

We shared the Texas trio we had the brisket, pulled pork, and smoked links with mac and cheese, baked beans, and street corn. We also shared the loaded fries. It was money well spent. Will definitely be going back sometime. Can't wait to try some of the other stuff on the menu.

The store is fine...not the garage satellite place. Waited way longer than told, he finally ran to grill...gave me refrigerator cold ribs. I told him and the response was "we don't have any warm ones." WTH? I said "why give me cold ones?" No response. Stay awayFor the owner: I am ex military/law enforcement, the kind of people you guys support. I frequent your main resturant. I chose you guys because I liked your establishment. Totally done. The way it was handled by your staff was a disappointment.
