New Star Viet Bistro- Vietnamese Restaurant & Boba Tea

This is my first time here as I was recommended it by a friend. This particular establishment is very clean and spacious inside. For an appetizer I ordered the goi cuon (fresh spring rolls) they were delicious! I decided to the get the beef striped pho as my main course. It was above average for pho and as far as meat they limit it. My family member ordered their Banh mi sandwich and he said it wasn’t that great. They limited the amount sauce, meat, and the bread was really hard. This isn’t a bad Vietnamese restaurant and I’ll probably be back… but it’s not something that is going to keep me up at night craving.

Food was so great! Fresh and tasty. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of options. Try the spicy lemongrass tofu - such a great blend of flavors. The sea salt coffee was delicious- just a bit sweet for me (but I also take coffee without sugar - YMMV). The fresh spring rolls came with a delicious peanut dipping sauce, and thr boyfriend enjoyed his wonton noodle soup as well. Can't wait to visit again!

I’ve been here countless times, it’s great every time. The broth is sweet but savory. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The prices are reasonable and the portions are just enough. Honestly I used to drive to leesburg for my pho fix but now I just drive to martinsburg and it’s perfect.

Excellent. The place was welcoming and clean and the staff were very friendly and patient. The food was really really good, especially the shrimp tempura.

This restaurant is now one of my all time favorite. Food we ordered tasted all super delicious and fresh. The service is also excellent. Very highly recommend.

This place is such a good find! The pho is absolutely delicious, honestly the best I’ve ever had! The portions are huge and very good for the price! I got a kids pho with brisket and it was plenty!

I have to come back at least one more time before my final review. Otherwise I was not very impressed with the spring rolls or the seafood pho. There was quite a lack of flavor for the spring rolls since the peanut sauce was not bold enough. It lacked the rustic taste of peanuts that I look for when eating spring rolls. The pho had pros and cons, the shrimp and the calamari where cooked perfectly however the broth was what I did not fall in love with which is a core to pho. Ill be back however.

Edit: As promised I came back to try it again, but something different. I was pleased with the shrimp tempura but not as much with the red chili sauce, it was lacking something that makes it stand above the shrimp tempura the rich bold taste, otherwise it was really good. The chicken pho was good, my only issue is I feel as if there are hardly any noodles within the broth in itself. I will say that the broth was good, but I believe that it could be better with a richer flavor, as if something is missing. The chicken and everything was good.

Over all I would recommend this as a good place to eat. Atmosphere is good and waiters are very good at their job.
