I am a truck driver and I have had Jamaican food from a lot of places and this has By far been the worst I have ever had. I don't even know where to start. I honestly had to look at what I ordered because what I was eating was flavorless.
I placed the order through Uber Eats and the food arrived hot. Now I ordered jerk chicken... where was the jerk seasoning I have no idea, but it was not on the chicken. The side was steam cabbage it to was not seasoned, but that wasn't my problem. My problem was we gave little to no effort. It was a thick slice of cabbage with stem... we didn't even bother to cut it. The Rasta Pasta was the biggest disappointment. It was dry, sticky and tasteless. The sauce, I feel like it was store bought.
I don't write many reviews and I have never written a bad one before because normally I just wouldn't patronage an establishment but this was really bad.
I don't even think a Jamaican made this or I'd they did they are cooking for the area maybe. I just never had Jamaican food that didn't have any favor.
Hopefully this was an off day but I will not ever order from here again.

I try not to leave reviews, but this is probably the worst Jamaican food I’ve had. It lacked flavor and was super bland. I went based on the positive reviews I saw, but those are also old. Thought some improvement would come by now. I will never eat at this spot again. I don’t like wasting money on food, but hey, lesson learned.

Stopped by yesterday to eat some brown stewed chicken and it was on point and the staff was friendly and chill an hooked me up well. I always enjoy some food from here it’s one of my fav Jamaican spots I hit up! Curry chicken is my favorite from here but I also like other items off the menu as well. Hit em up an try em out!

Today is May 12, 2025! My son ordered door dash food from this place, and the food was to die for! We got stewed beef, curry chicken, and reggae pork, with chicken curry patties! We were licking the containers, and were dipping our curry patties and plantains into the stew juice like kings! There is a lot of love and heart and tradition in this food! We were just absolutely floored by the generous portions and the high quality of the flavor and cuts of meat! This is the best food I have ever eaten in martinsburg and I will absolutely go back for more! What a treat, what a surprise! Thank You, Taste of Reggae, for this beautiful experience, I’m still eating and writing at the same time! Thank You! Namaste 🙏

Restaurant is very dirty. Went to use the bathroom but it was too dirty to use.
Most importantly, we spent $41 on lunch. Two orders of jerk chicken with drinks.
The food was really bad. This is not real Jamaican food. The chicken is very low quality with way too much bone.
They also grilled the meat in what taste like a dirty ash tray. Their grill must be very dirty because the food taste like smoke. After I ate I went to the 7/11 down the road to buy some mouthwash to rinse my mouth. Even as I write this I have the taste or cigarettes in my mouth.
Over priced, dirty, and not very tasty. The other Jamaican places in other towns were so much better.

I've had good and bad food from this place, that is to say when they are actually open. I ordered online yesterday because their listing in Google claimed that they were open. After spending 22$ I arrived at the storefront only to find them Closed AF. How you going to take my damn money and yall are for real closed? I returned today (a Monday) at the time they have listed on Google saying they open...Again these crackheads are closed like eyelids. After I somehow get the food I damn paid for I will not be supporting this local business, if you can actually call it that, hell this place is more like a pop up restaurant, just appearing at random.

Everything I ordered was microwaved… Icould hear the beeps! They were out of every side but cabbage and Mac n cheese, only choices. Only choices for pies were beef. Very watery and oxtail had no veggies cooked with it and was very bland! Was horrible food for the price I paid. Will not recommend and won’t be going back! Nothing was fresh!!

Brown stew chicken was scraps, literally a pile of BONES and the greens were basically all peppers. The White rice was bland.Disappointed, only reason I didn't go back was because I am traveling. I threw it away , maybe the animals will enjoy it , not fit for humans.
