We were camping in the area to ride the trails. On our first day of riding we were too tired to think about cooking and went here for dinner. We had the bison burger and the catfish. Both were delicious! We loved it so much here we went back 2 more times during the week! Everything we had was great! Oh, and I almost forgot the mention the Side Winder Fries! YUM!!

I come down there about every 2 weeks, and my favorite place is the trailhead. The waitresses are awesome. The owner she is wild not like Her, she is a people person, very friendly. They can arrange any kind of set up. You need for dinner lunch, great place.Parking: Someone with his black top, there's plenty of stuff for crippled people, too. That's a nice place, very easy to get In-N-Out.

I visited the Trailhead Bar and Grill for dinner on Thursday and Friday night. They were packed but our food came just as we ordered it. I ate a club sandwich and sidewinder fries on Thursday and Catfish on Friday. They were both 10/10. I spoke to the owner and he said he hand breads the catfish himself. The prices were amazing too!!All my friends were raving about their food choices.Matewan is our favorite of all the places we go trail riding!We picked a great time to go. The fall leaves were beautiful! We will definitely be back.

This place is fantastic! Don’t think twice about stopping in just do it! We stopped in late and had 3 little ones under the age of two and they were absolutely wonderful with the kids! Abby our waitress was great! The owner is very kind! Food was amazing! I had the pretzel and wings with the fries! No complaints from anyone on their food everyone boxed up what they couldn’t finish and had it the next day! Recommend 10 out of 10!

Visited this great little place this past weekend about 25 miles into our ride. Expectations were pretty low based on other places we have been to on the Hatfield/McCoy trail system. Nice inside with several TVs to catch the games. Service was awesome. We had a group of nine and food came out quickly and drinks were never empty. Food was very good. If you're in the area be sure to give this a try!!
