While originally having 3 locations in the area they have shrunk down to just 1. This specific chain does get a lot of hate and I think 90% of it is fabricated. The food is constantly good Everytime I've been in.

I love the Boston Beanery but I don't have one close. I was in Morgantown and made sure to stop by and was not disappointed! Love the Monte Cristo and the ranch dressing! Best all around! Curly fries are awesome as well. Can't wait for my next trip so I can visit again!

A decent alternative to the usual Morgantown spots. Servers were great. Atmosphere is a bit outdated. Food was as expected. Prices were good.

Food was made but very lacking in taste. Date had crab cakes, very dry. Very small.
I had Monte Cristo, not horrible but damn that french toast bread was so sweet, couldn't really use the rasberry spread. Near nobody in restaurant, so it was quiet. Except the kitchen, could hear em yellin and whatnot. Think all the staff was at the bar 😆. Server was friendly enough I suppose, was not stoked to get a table, is the vibe I got 🫤.

Came for the good food and sunday football, food was amazing as always and the manager took extra time out of her day to get the cowboys on even though she’s a commanders fan! love this place

Husband and i both hot sick from the crab dip. Puking and number 2, very small n cramped, filet mignon sandwich was tough and grisly, waitress was inattentive and never brought the condiments even when asked and was rude when I mentioned it. Never again.

Fries were cold. Wings seemed smaller than normal and not enough sauce. Service was extremely slow at 2:30 p.m. and overall not great. Service and food are typically much better.

Long time staple of Morgantown! Large menu and daily specials along with happy hour specials. Food is always good and a lot to choose from including dessert. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere has a nice laidback vibe.

Decided to stop in and give this place another chance. I’ve been in Morgantown nearly a decade now and very rarely do I ever get food from here. Today I got nachos and a cheese steak. Cheese steak was decent but the nachos were crazy. I don’t know who created those but the recipe needs to be changed.

Overall I’ve never had a super great experience here or left feeling good. The food is sub par and never meets high expectations. So don’t have any. The service is pretty good, just not the food. Don’t be fooled by the smash burger menu either. It’s not a real smash burger and it’s super dry.

As a former student and current resident of Morgantown I wouldn’t recommend the Beanery for casual dining. If you’re looking to grab a drink then sure.

It’s about what you would expect from a college town.
