We decided to try Dirty Bird due to great online reviews. We walked into a hot restaurant, about half full. While ordering at the counter, we were told it would be a 25 minute wait, which agreed to even though it tightly fit our schedule. Over 45 minutes later our food came out. While I made do with the over-salted chicken, my very hungry son found it was inedible. He left hungry and late for our appointment. Frustrating experience.

Would drive 10+ hrs for this place
I’ve had a lot of chicken sandwiches. This one is the best.
Fantastic fried chicken & chicken sandwiches! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by the owners who were very friendly - giving recommendations, asking where we were from and inquiring as to what brought us to Morgantown. We got the four piece fried chicken box and the dirty bird sandwich. The sandwich was very good and a nice change from your standard chicken sandwich. The fried chicken was so, so good. It’s a small space that is perfect for a casual meal. As we were eating our food, we could see that so many of the people that came in were referred to by name by the owners. This is definitely a local favorite because of the delicious food & the hospitality that is shown by the owners.
One of the better chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The sandwich was huge! The seasoned fries are really good too. It's cramped inside if you want to dine in. Also, it's on High St so parking is always an issue.
Best chicken I've ever had and the owner is lovely too!
Best chicken sandwich I've ever had.
Such fresh and high quality chicken. From whole pieces, to sandwich cuts, and even popcorn chicken, everything is freshly cut each morning and fried to order. Well worth a pit stop.

Great fried chicken!
The best fried chicken in town!
I saw this place rated as best friend chicken in West Virginia. Drove 2-1/2 hours from Youngstown,Ohio. Arrived at 2:00 pm only to be told they were sold out of sandwiches and remaining chicken would be over an hours wait. I explained my trip and why I had come and basically got a sux to be you attitude. We only serve fresh chicken and when we sell out we close. So the 11-4 hrs are not accurate. No effort was made like maybe a discount if you come again. Didn't care I drove 2-1/2 hours to get there on my only day off. Don't waste your time here and it's impossible to get parking close by.
Hands down the best chicken spot in WV. The owners are the best! Always greeted with smiles and over the top service.
Great friend chicken. We got the 8 piece chicken box with garlic green beans and biscuits. The chicken was like KFC but not as greasy. The garlic green beans were vegetable candy, sweet tangy and seasoned to make them disappear. The biscuit was the one thing that did not live up to the rest, it was just a basic biscuit.
