I grew up in western NY, having fish fry nearly every Friday. When I moved to WV I missed that meal. Flying Fish is like being back in NY. Great food, great service.

I don't know. I tried calling a number that went straight to voicemail only to discover that the voicemail box was full. Like many things in West Virginia, customer service just sucks. If your business is a hobby, put that in the title. Why would anyone pay high end prices for a place who won't accommodate their clients?

My family and I have lived in Morgantown for years but only just visited recently. My son really wanted fried fish (and chips) and Flying Fish is the place that comes to mind. It certainly lived up to expectations. The meals were freshly prepared and the staff was very friendly. I got a fried oyster po' boy, and my wife got shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious. It wasn't busy for dinner when we went in - I get the impression that Flying Fish is a more popular lunch destination. I'm not complaining of course. We will definitely be back the next time we want a taste of the coast but only have time to drive across town.

Everything is really great here, the staff are respectful and fast, and all of the food is great. I got the seafood jambalaya, and it was spicy and amazing. It really tasted authentic.

Oh my goodness..what a place to fill your heart with and taste buds of a spice of New Orleans. I had the best shrimp taco and gumbo that that put in a NOLA state of mind. Yum yum..if you haven't tried their food , by golly, you need to get there soon.
I don't know how they do it. It's not like West Virginia is near a nice body of water to catch fresh fish -- but Flying Fish has nice fish. I've been several times and haven't had a bad thing. The sandwiches are good. The fish and chips are good. If you want to enjoy some delicious fish and exprience the miracle of good fish in West Virginia, I recommend Flying Fish and Co.

Flavors were great, but I was really disappointed for the price. $9 for a small bowl of clam chowder? No. Went with a fish 'n chips instead for $10. The fish was so greasy I had to use napkins and the breading fell off in doing so it was so soaked. That's unfortunate because it did taste quite good. The fries were pretty boring and were 60% of the meal. Overall, not a good value. Probably won't be back.
