Forks of Cheat Winery

Very nice winery with beautiful views of the mountains.
Our host was knowledgeable and informative.
We purchased 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of port.
They offer tastings with no charge... Nice concept and they did ask that we not abuse their hospitality ?.
Worth the drive!!!!

Visited Forks of Cheat Winery and was great! The tasting room is eclectic, and the views are breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for a large event.Took a stroll down to The Vines and appreciated the serene atmosphere.Bob, the wine sales guy, was incredibly engaging and impressively knowledgeable on a wide range of topics.Can't wait to return with friends and soak in more of this hidden gem!

Best Wine Ever!! We live 2hrs away from here and still make the trip down several times a year.

I stopped on my way through Morgantown to Maryland on a Saturday. The drive was beautiful, as are the views from the winery. The tasting was free, which was a pleasant surprise. The girl working was helpful, funny, and had suggestions for wine pairings and even a way to mix a couple. The only downfall was the overall appearance inside; it's very dirty and smelled of cat urine. Could be a lovely little shop but it needs a serious cleaning.

The Van Buren and Blueverry wines are epic. Service is always great. Love the outdoor patio to sit and get a great view of the WV mountains. Highly recommended!

Inappropriate owner . I went to the winery yesterday. The wine was good and the atmosphere was beautiful. Later that day after I left the owner found me on a dating app and messaged me . I told him I enjoyed his wine but I wasn’t interested in seeing him . He proceeded to ask me if he could come over to my hotel room , which I again said no . He then asked me if I would send him nude photos and I said no . Then he proceeded to send me a nude photo . I blocked him after that . NO means NO . That was unprofessional and inappropriate

Forks of Cheat is our local winery with the absolute best wines. This year's Van Buren is the absolute best. A tranquil environment to taste and then relax on the deck with our fav wine. Absolutely an experience I have to have often to feel the solitude and West Virginia vibes. Don't deprive yourself of this opportunity if you are in the area! Cheers to Jerry Deal!!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a winery with a host who made the experience truly exceptional. Not only were we warmly welcomed and allowed to try a variety of delicious wines, but the host's expertise as a beekeeper added an intriguing twist to the tasting. It was a delightful and memorable visit. Highly recommended!

The bartender cheated on me

We make a trip to Forks of Cheat each year all the way from Baltimore. We joke that we make an annual trip to visit the moonshiner! All kidding aside, the Big Deal Rye is worth the long trip. The moonshine is very good, as is the wine (I personally like the sweet fruit wines). There is a lovely deck area for sitting and sipping. The staff is always friendly and get a kick out of our annual stock-up. I highly recommend Forks of Cheat!

Great customer service! The owners were very attentive + informative. Had a lovely experience for bachelorette day festivities. Beautiful location + great wines!
