The beet and greens salad with salmon added is consistently delicious and the service today was lovely.
I was hoping for more. I was not impressed to say the least. Had the fish and chips. The fish barely passed for ok. The chips (potato wedges) taste like burnt, grilled potatoes. My drink sat empty the entire night. Luckily I had water to work on. Fries pickles were amazing.

So freaking good. I love their menu selection. Healthy, tasty salads, quality meat, good seasoning on everything, great sauces, great sandwiches, amazing brussel sprouts, phenomenal cheesecake, literally everything’s good. Their blueberry lavender cocktail is so good. I’ve lived in Morgantown for a while now, but can’t believe I didn’t check this place out sooner. Whoever is cooking back there knows whats up, thank you!! Love this place, and they have friendly staff to top it off.

An unexpected dining surprise in Morgantown. The Buffalo cauliflower starter and butternut squash salad special were delicious. Service (on Tuesday) was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Atmosphere was conducive to relaxed conversation. Cannot recommend more highly!

Walk in grab a table set there for 10 min, walk to the bar. Bar tender wouldn’t take the order because I was I a bar table and told me that he would get a server. 5 min later someone comes by and tells us they are no longer doing table service that we need to go to the bartender to order.. not one person in this place knows what is happening. My suggestion go to Gibbie’s they are amazing! By the way… we walked out…

As someone who would always prefer a locally owned restaurant over a national chain, Iron Horse has been my favorite place in Morgantown to dine out since I moved here 7 years ago. I have eaten in several times a year and my boyfriend and I have been ordering takeout monthly or more since the pandemic started. I have tried many items on the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed. But as happens when you done somewhere regularly, I have my favorites.
My go-to dishes have been the Dixie Cobb Salad and the Carmelized Brussels Sprouts. I LOVE the seasoned panko breading on the Dixie chicken, because it is different than the standard breaded chicken tenders that one can get everywhere else. Imagine my surprise when I ordered my regular favorites this summer and got regular old breaded chicken tenders on my salad. And then it happened again. And again. So I asked and was told that you have changed the recipe, and this salad now comes with breaded chicken tenders with no option for the panko. I am soooo disappointed.
I am also disappointed that the Brussels sprouts recipe has changed. The previous Carmelized Brussels sprouts recipe was fantastic and was another item that we have ordered repeatedly. The bacon chunks and gooey melted cheese made for a fantastic dish. The new Brussels sprouts recipe is just ok. I’ve tried it, and I probably won’t order it again. The Gorgonzola doesn’t melt into a gooey mess and doesn’t have the right flavor to complement the other ingredients.
So, now I’m left to study your menu and find another item to be my new go-to. But really, I just want the panko fried chicken and carmelized Brussels with bacon and gooey cheese!

My friends and I made a reservation for 7 pm. We were served drinks around 7:45, and waited until 9 for our food. The food was lukewarm. Our party was put on the back burner with minimal customer service. The brusselsprout entree included blue cheese crumbles when it was not stated in the description. My burger had the smallest amount of toppings. The Mac and cheese seemed as if it was missing the cheese component. All of our food was subpar. We were also charged gratuity.

Place is a joke-So when you look at a bar menu and most of the common bar food is "Temporarily Unavailable" you start to wonder-How the F&$K are wings "Temporarily Unavailable"???,
Go Get some F$KING Wings!, The beer selection is hipster IPA and Sour nonsense and way behind the times. The prices are bad and its never really bumping but now you know why. Service was fine.

Worst service in Morgantown. I have consistently went back time and time again because the food and drinks are amazing, but it can never outweigh the poor service from waitstaff (literally didn’t introduce themselves, handed us water and never came back until the food came out which was over an HOUR later, no refills water wise or bar wise.) This is not a one off experience, I’d say my last 4 have been the exact same. Desperate need for waitstaff that can handle high volume and have ANY personality.

Excellent place for good food, variety, some healthy entree choices and exceptional, kind and personable service. Rare in this day and age.
Vegetarian options: There were 3 choices.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free offerings and heart healthy
Parking: Tight quarters to park and we had to pay. Not unreasonable parking price. Well worth the extra trouble.

Visiting Morgantown and an employee from another establishment recommended this place and they weren't wrong. If I was a local, I would be here all the time. Their beet salad was to die for!
