Mountaineer Country Ice Cream

I love this place it's the best. You can eat ice cream and look at fishing stuff in the same place, who doesn't want that. Awesome place and reasonably priced.

Everything about this little shop is AMAZING! The staff, the treats the atmosphere are exactly where n what you need!

Went for ice cream but yikes. I was not prepared to walk in to THAT. It was honestly so bad that it was comical. The place was cluttered with political regalia, filthy, and run down.

We went on a Saturday night for ice cream. There was only one young person working the counter, who was working very hard but was clearly distraught. They could have used some help to keep up with the orders, and there was another worker in the store (she looked much older; perhaps she was the manager?), but she was sitting at another cash register, helping no one. I blame the slow service solely on this second person for her lack of initiative to help the only actual worker in the store: the young person serving ice cream.

I echo many other reviews, noting how cluttered and dirty the place was. It was off-putting.

It was even more offensive due to Christian nationalist and Trump paraphernalia everywhere: shirts, hats, flags all threatening political violence. That’s not the America I know and love. This place is just uncomfortable and weird.

This place looks like a bomb went off inside. The ice cream is good and lots of flavors to pick from. You can sit outside on the over priced patio furniture to eat. Very expensive. Anywhere else in town will hv cheaper ice cream.

Kid-friendliness: Fine for ice cream but they will touch or break 100 things bc it’s so messy inside.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not an option. They hv too much crap all over the floor.

They have dairy free items and fair, but I asked them and they said they have no vegan option, so it’s not vegan, but dairy free. They also have other items in the shop and super expensive. But cute items.

I had the Carmel chocolate ice cream with chocolate cone.... The combination was amazing! Never had a chocolate cone like that ever! Must try!!

Lots of ice cream choices. But it looks more like a bait shop,which is okay but I was looking for ice cream. A scoop of ice cream is over $6.

Gave only 2 stars because they are Very political. Businesses should remain non political and not be posting large political cardboard cut outs on doors and inside upon entry of their store, if they want business. It’s not very welcoming to all. Ice cream is good

Skip this place! Outrageous ice cream prices! Price for a kids small single scoop on cookie cone was over $8! When I complained to the owner, she told the gal working there that it should be a scoop and a half! But no one gave us the remainder! Amount was even with the scoop which was less than 1/2 cup! Ridiculous!
