We had a wonderful time at Stefano's. We know it's priced higher than most places in Morgantown, but it was a great value for the price.
What a great experience! We dined on a cold, snowy weeknight. The atmosphere was instantly cozy and every table filled! Yet the service was attentive, our meal perfectly paced. From a creative cocktail menu and great wine list to a dinner menu with lots choices and specials... this place is a gem. The food was delicious! The stuffed meatball is a softball sized standout and the halibut was beautifully prepared and presented. We did not save room for dessert, but I won't let that happen next time. I am eager to get back.
Stefano's is a wonderful experience in Morgantown. It's a big city type restaurant in a small town. The prices, though some may seem are high. I believe are incredibly reasonable. Our bill would have been easily $100 more in Pittsburgh. Riley was our server, and she was fantastic. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation and the hostess was able to seat us early. They asked how we would like our meal staged(courses). It was completely 100 percent unrushed and a perfect date night for my wife and I. It is hands down the best experience Morgantown has to offer! Thank you for a great night!
Our first time here and Stefano's didn't disappoint. Food was great and so is the service. Me and husband had a great time and will definitely come back with friends.
Came down from Pittsburgh to wvu where my son attends and was looking for a restaurant to celebrate his 19th birthday and Stefanos hit the mark. Everything was delicious!! Myself and my son had the veal parm. My wife had the gnocchi and meatball and my son's girlfriend had the salmon. Both entrees were great as well. Our server Riley was awesome as well! If ever in Morgantown stop at Stefanos you won't be disappointed!

After several friends told us how excellent this restaurant is when we decided to check it out. The ambiance is very classy and modern. Our server was professional and very attentive to our needs. The food was incredible! All 4 of us got something different and we all really enjoyed everything. My filet was cooked perfectly and the escargot was the perfect appetizer. The variety of desserts was great. I don't normally get dessert when dining out but I'm glad because the candied pecan ice cream ball was one of the mist delicious desserts I've ever had.We will definitely be back soon!

Fantastic as always. We try to get there whenever we are in town. The chicken piccata is so tender, juicy and flavorful. Meatball, wedge salad, bread are all delicious. The lemon cake was a great way to end the meal.
Outstanding. Great appetizer, great steak

Fabulous food and service! We were celebrating a birthday and wanted something special. Very impressive. Everything was prepared wonderfully and tasted incredible. Our party ordered a variety of dinners and salads and everyone was very pleased with their choices. The pace of our meal was on point. Will definitely be back! I can't wait to try the halibut and another of the enticing desserts.
I wanted an upscale dining experience for my husbands birthday and Stefanos delivered! The ambiance is upscale, not stuffy. The food and service were both outstanding. We had the best time and cannot wait to go back!
Stefano's never disappoints. Without a doubt the best food in town. Service is always excellent.
Seven years ago, this restaurant was where my boyfriend and I had our very first date, and for nostalgia’s sake we returned, dressed to impress—he in a fitted navy suit, me in a long-sleeved, high-waisted dress. Unfortunately, the only thing Italian about the place remains its name. I’m Italian, second generation American, with a grandfather straight off the boat, and my boyfriend has Italian roots as well. Yet when I gave my reservation, they couldn’t even pronounce my Italian last name correctly. There’s not a “U” in it, but one was conjured anyway, and I was left twitching before we’d even sat down.
The atmosphere is admittedly pleasant—dark, secluded, intimate—and our server was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. But the food, the supposed heart of an “Italian” restaurant, was a travesty. The bread rolls were unmistakably frozen bulk-bag rejects from Sam’s Club or Walmart, bland enough that even I, someone who could live on bread, barely managed one. Chain steakhouses serve far better for a fraction of the price. My gnocchi had clearly never met a potato, arriving as mushy lumps, while my boyfriend’s shrimp pasta was equally overcooked and limp. It seems the kitchen has never learned the meaning of al dente. As for flavor, it barely stretched beyond salt, pepper, and garlic powder—certainly no balsamic reduction, no herbs, nothing remotely authentic. For this culinary beige, we paid over $120 without even ordering dessert. That’s not expensive; that’s overpriced.
Even the clientele underscored the absurdity. In a so-called upscale restaurant, we were surrounded by families in basketball shorts, white socks, and worn-out slides. We were easily the best-dressed couple in the room, which is less a compliment to us than an indictment of the place’s lack of standards. If you’re going to charge fine-dining prices, the least you can do is enforce a dress code so I don’t have to eat pasta mush across from dingy athletic wear.
In the end, the only redeeming qualities are the atmosphere and the servers. This is not an Italian restaurant. It is an overpriced parody serving overcooked pasta, frozen bread, and under-seasoned food, all while failing to pronounce an Italian name correctly. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful date, but only because we made it one—certainly not because of what was on our plates. You’d be better off in the frozen aisle of Kroger or your own kitchen.
