Our first time visit on December 19, 2025 to celebrate my birthday. We didn’t order any appetizers, we ordered the Church platter and shared it. Service was fast and very attentive. We went with the potato salad and slaw for the sides, the slaw was very dry and tasted awful (I couldn’t even say what it tasted like, but nothing like slaw) and the potato salad was much better, very dry and not a good taste. We chose the chicken, pork and beef as the meats, they were delicious...
Backyard BBQ hosted a private event for WVU Medicine Children’s Surgical Sevices Holiday party. We had an AMAZING time. The staff was spectacular and went above and beyond for us and the food was great, too. The upstairs space holds up to 180 people. We had more than enough room. We ate, we sang and danced, we play pool and had so many laughs. Definitely recommend having a private party at Backyard! We will be back.
I had this place years ago before they reopened and it was amazing and today it was just as good! We loved it! We ordered a ton just to try everything! The food is great! Very reasonable prices! The fry sauce could stop a zombie apocalypse, so so good.
