What a fun find! Quaint little place with great views of fall foliage. Staff is super friendly, will reserve a table for you, and even remember you and your preferences if you come back the next day! Have tried the pancakes, pancake sandwich, smash bowl, and Dutch Baby. Good coffee! Carnivore friends were very happy as well!
Awful place

Almost heaven, WV…that’s what they say. Well, a little slice of that heaven is The Breakfast Caffe. We stopped in on a visit from PA to see family in the area, and we were so glad we visited. Our biggest problem was deciding what to choose. The menu has a good amount of variety and caters to a plethora of dietary needs. The portions are sizable, and the pricing is reasonable. Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was great, and the proprietor and cook (Paris and Jamey) even made it a point to visit our table, offer suggestions, and really made us feel welcomed. The food is made from scratch, to order, so plan a little extra time. The wait is more than worth it! The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Highly recommended!!

The service soon as I walked through the door was mediocre and I can feel the awkwardness but we are African American so that could be a thing. Before I was going to order somebody was already telling ama customer that they don’t have enough gravy for one of the entrees. It’s 10:30 am. The restaurant has only been open for 3 and a half hours and have 4 and a half to go. I just left. Not worth it. I can’t even bring my water inside. What does that policy actually protect?

This place offers a wide array of gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options. However, as someone that doesnt have a special diet, I will never be back. We got seated right away and ordered within a few minutes but my husband didnt get his water until after we received our food, which took almost 45 minutes. There were 6 people working, 2 of which spent most the the time we were there outside and there were only three tables with everyone else still waiting for food when we arrived. I understand prices are high, but we received an insulting amount of food for the price. We ordered a coffee, sausage gravy and biscuits (two tiny biscuits) , and a "smashbowl" that filled about half of a cereal bowl and it was nearly $30. We ended up having to go somewhere else to eat immediately after eating. The sausage gravy and biscuits was average but the smashbowl had no flavor at all. We haven't been this disappointed in a local spot for a very long time.

The food and service at The Breakfast Caffe are terrific! The specials are unique treats. Always something new to try, and never disappointed. The chef is very creative and her staff is wonderful. Nice atmosphere too. Recent renovations make it even better! Looking for a new place to eat? Give The Breakfast Caffe a try. You won't be disappointed

I would categorize this place as just okay. It's small and sorta cramped inside. There is some bar area seating but it's also just a few seats. I ordered a breakfast type bowl and was surprised at the small portion size. Don't see that a lot in WV. However, the quality and taste of the food was good. Also, a group of several people entered while I was there and an employee quickly directed them to a table and immediately stated, "in the future call ahead if there is this many of you". Didn't really care for that either. I likely won't go back, but maybe check it out for yourself.

Honestly not sure on the food. The service was so slow that after 45 minutes we had to ask when our breakfast would be ready and they said another 30 minutes. I don’t understand how this place is in business.
