Stopped in for lunch yesterday and this place blew us away.

Von Blaze is a small, cozy spot with limited indoor seating, and we hit it right at peak lunch rush—but they got us seated quickly. There’s outdoor seating too, but it was a hot day and no shade, so we opted for inside.

Our server was fast, friendly, and on top of things. What really stood out, though, was the owner—she made a point to stop by each table and personally introduce herself. That kind of hospitality goes a long way.

Now for the food: wow. I had the Pot Liquor Pork sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly smoked, tender, juicy pork paired with collard greens and a killer sauce—this sandwich ranks as one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Full stop.

We also shared the Elote Fry plate—unique and delicious. Everyone at the table was raving. My daughter loved her burger too, and we all left feeling like we’d discovered a gem.

We’ll 100% be back.

The menu is very unique and interesting. A lot of different styles of food that appeals to many taste buds. The drummies are two lollipop chicken drums coated with different type sauces. I tried the “Bruno” style- Japanese style of sweet, salty, tiny spicy. It was probably the best chicken drumstick I’ve ever had. I laid tried their Green Goddess salad (no anchovies) with grilled chicken and small side of fries. Both excellent! My husband had the Pot Liquor Pork sandwich and it was huge in size and very good.
One of the menu items is a patrons choice and that changes with every menu change and proceeds to charity. We also tried their local beers and for $15 you can buy the staff a round, which we did. :)
The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back next time we are in Morgantown.

I'm giving 5 stars on everything but they were sold out of a lot of the items on the menu when we visited. I'm guessing that's because of their popularity. Everything we ate was delicious. Attentive service. Very impressed!

The food was delicious just messy. We both got a sandwich and end up having to use knife and fork but the bun couldn’t hold up. The drummies are soo good, tried Bruno style this time

I went for brunch on Sunday and had the Grits and Greens ... I'm really picky about my greens and I'd have killed to have them again for dinner on that pork sandwich. And the grits? omg... then the sausage ... yeah - can't wait to come back into the area to eat here again.

Overpriced salads order chicken inside salads did not receive the chicken but Bill was $51 in change and the salad was just lettuce a half of a baby tomato and a slither of cucumber

Traveling 3 hours put of town and had this place recommended by locals. Arrived 45 min before they closed to be told they were done for the night. Don't have a time online to then close early.

Came to have some lunch today @1220. Was supposed to be open until 1400. The place was unfortunately closed up. I hope to be back soon to try it out.

We always seem to land on Von Blaze for date night. It's such a welcoming place & the deck for outside seating was a great addition. We love to have dinner there or brunch. They have the best food & great staff. Honestly, love all the fun themed dinner nights. We bought tickets to the Ramen night and we're not disappointed. This is a place for connection, chatting and catching up. No screens, no tvs, just people enjoying really good food together.

Went to Von Blaze before the #boredteachers comedy show. French toast, is AMAZING!!! We found our brunch spot. We want one of everything on the menu. Morgantown's hidden gem. Amazing service front start to finish.

Consistently great food and service. I really like this place! So does the rest of my family! I just wish a beer wasn't $11.
