My husband and I have eaten here before. I have 10yrs in the restaurant industry including 2 yrs of General Manager experience at a fine dining restaurant that specialized in steaks. My husband has been a Kitchen Manager and head chef for 3 years as well. When we arrived I noted 2 servers a bartender all on the floor. One server actively taking care of his tables and one leaning on a pillar near the bar. We stood at the host stand for several minutes made eye contact with the server leaning on the pillar no attempt was made to come speak to us. A few minutes later a host comes and greets us. Very kindly tells us unfortunately they have no open tables (they had the entire half of the restaurant empty so I must have looked baffled) she followed up by saying she only has two servers on so they can't take anymore tables currently great we understand that so I asked for a wait time she said 30-35 minutes. We debated said no thank you and as we were walking out my husband said let's just grab a drink at the casino bad and then go eat. I said let's me check online if we can do that. They had a time slot open for the 30 minutes we were quoted by the host so I booked it. Got the confirmation and we proceeded to wait for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes were up we went back up again same people on the floor the same server still leaning on the pillar looking utterly bored still waited several minutes for a host to come out. I tell her we booked online and she says well you'll still have to wait 1 hour or longer now because while we take same day reservations and online reservations we don't honor them in the same way. So I said okay so you don't honor reservations she ran away and got her manager. The manager explained we could have a table just no service for an hour. I asked why she said because we're short staffed and let me know I don't understand that they were unprepared for the restaurant to be busy...welcome to the restaurant industry you buck up and deal. Wtf.

The experience was amazing and they treated us like family on my birthday. So thank you guys from Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Steph, our server, was phenomenal. He's an asset to the restaurant!

Food was just okay, it's so hard the French qtr. to have decent coffee, I don't understand how hard it is to have decent coffee. The desert filled donuts look like mold was growing on end where cream goes in, vegetables were way overcooked.

Look forward to your Wednesday & Thursday specials every Week. Especially Thursday. Always greeted professionally, service is extremely professional and enjoyable, and the dinner specials are a very good value as well as delicious. Hats off to the entire staff at the French Quarter as it is very noticeable that everyone does their best to make my dining experience top knoch. It is appreciated.

Waited one hour from order to food arriving. When II arrived it was not hot, barely warm. Drinks were refilled once despite being empty for a long periods while we waiting on our food. In the end, it was recognized that we had been there a long time and the chef offered a free dessert. It took 30 minutes for the dessert to arrive. It was a breaded pudding, which was cold when it made it to the table. I have gone this location a grand total of three times. The first time was one of the most amazing experiences I ever had at a restaurant and that was during Valentine's Day. The second experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The third experience was the worst I've ever had there and I'm pretty well convinced that my wife and I will probably not go back.

Food was good and cocktails were great! They did mix up our steaks but other than that it was great!

The seafood buffet was excellent, staff kept it stocked with fresh items. The prime rib was outstanding. Over all the selection and food was great.

My dining companion and I loved the, "all you can eat" seafood buffet at the French Quarter Restaurant at the Mardi Gras Casino. The buffet has crab legs and prime rib, as well as, huge shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half-shell, smoked salmon, sushi and numerous fried seafood, side dishes , salads and desserts which helps me justify the price. A non-alcoholic drink is also included as well. I couldn't afford it frequently, but it is a nice treat occasionally!

Waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable of recommendations. Bar tender seemed overwhelmed and needed more hands to help behind bar. Long wait time for drinks at the table. Definitely will be back again on our way back through WV.

Crab legs were too salty to eat. The prime rib and one of the desserts was the only good food.

Our waitress was incredible. The noise level was loud due to the casino. For the prices you pay, the restaurant should not be that loud. The food was bland and lacked seasoning. The crab legs were over cooked to where the shells were so soft it made it difficult to get the meat out of the legs. The breading on the fried shrimp, fish, hush puppies was bland. The small bite sizes crab cakes were good, as was the mac n cheese. The bite size desserts were good and perfect in size. They also have grilled chicken, fish, and cooked to order from steak, which we did not try, as we came for the seafood. The salad area looked good, but again, we did not eat. I would go one more time in case it was an off night for the kitchen.

Seafood buffet :Snow crab legs were very skinny. My husband would not eat anything. My steak and baked potato were excellent ( ordered from menu ) Service was excellent!

Last 2 times we have ate here we have had issues chicken was raw in middle and next visit they forgot our order waited 45 minutes before they realized used to enjoy but it has went down hill.

Nancy

The seafood buffet is good but not nearly the quality as in the past. Definitely not worth 65$,especially if you don't eat crab legs.
