I wanted a sundae, but I pulled up too far, and I could not see the drive-thru menu in the blinding sun. I told the nice gentleman on the speaker what I was looking for, and he was quick to figure it out. I ordered the remaining items for the rest of my party, a burger, another sundae, and a Superman blizzard. I was in the drive-thru for maybe 5 minutes. It was amazingly fast! Excellent, friendly customer service even during a rush. This is a busy spot because the city park down the street has lots of families coming from baseball and soccer games. You will have to wait for your food in spring /summer but the staff was really hustling and maintained a friendly attitude despite the stress of a busy drive-thru and dining room.
When you've been around a Dairy Queen with a full menu your entire life this is no big deal. But I was in a DQ desert for a number of years. I had always passed this DQ going to and coming back from the Clarksville VA but never stopped. The chicken tenders were as wonderful as I remember...and the gravy! How I missed having a DQ close. Looks like I'll be stopping in a lot more often. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the value I got at DQ...3 large chicken...
